The Dragon

The turquoise dragon with its wings outstretched, hovering above the whispy clouds.

His skin, bright as a rainbow, reflecting off the icy peaks.

Enormous wings, translucent and spiny, flap quietly in the air.

A spiky tail, sharp like a jagged edge, curled around him.

Spines, like stalactites growing from the ceiling of a damp cave.

Claws, like daggers hanging from a tightrope waiting to stab some prey.

The dragon lands on the mountain tops with a thump, shaking the Earth below.

What are you?

You are a peaceful turtle, eating the coral in the depths of the mysterious sea.

You are an elegant Eagle, hunting for fish over a shiny river.

You are the impossibility of a soft wall, warm ice, solid smoke.

You are the sight of a zebra, grazing on the lush green grass around you.

You are the sound of vehicles, speeding past on a winding road to nowhere.

You are a scared donkey, lost in an overgrown field.

You are the smell of a freshly baked banana cake, made with love and care.

You are the impossibility of a short giraffe, a cold earth core, a trumpet playing silently.

You are a hungry velociraptor, chasing a triceratops through a vast forest.

Yor are the taste of a cornish pasty, golden and plump, waiting to be eaten on a summers day.

You are the memory of a Disney holiday, the fun and fear of rides, the cosiness of the hotel room, the sound of music in the air.

Should thought dragons be allowed in the local area?

We have been discussing whether or not the thought dragon should be allowed to live in Billericay. People are worried.

Many residents think that the Thought Dragon shouldn’t be allowed to live in Billericay because they burn our crops, snack on our animals and still want more. Furthermore, the Thought Dragon is believed think a lot but if it does then there is possibility that it could blow up and kill very many villagers.

On the over hand, many villagers argue that the Thought Dragon should be able to stay as it provides shade, another reason why is because the Thought Dragon helps people going through depressing times by filling the people’s heads with happiness and joy. Billericay residents say it makes the place a better place.

In conclusion, it can stay as long as it continues to help people through depressing times.

Earth Dragon

There are many species of dragon and one of the toughest is the Earth Dragon. Very little is known about this ferocious beast, as it flies on a higher altitude than humans can breathe at.

Would you be able to notice an Earth Dragon? Well, dracologists (scientists who study dragons) have proven it is a near impossible task to see one, for when it does swoop down it only remains for 8.62 nano seconds. Thanks to modern technology, dracologists have used slow motion cameras to view one. The dragon they saw was only a baby, however the wingspan of it was 9 kilometres. They have protected it in a dracology cell  and studied it as well as raised  it. Earth Dragons have studded tails, white eyes and are mostly all brown, though some have been spotted which were an ebony black. The obsidian teeth of these dragons have remarkable strength, shooting their bite force to 96.8. Earth Dragons also have super strength, one was observed snapping a titanium fence as if it were a twig. Long story short, they damage most things they touch.

Nobody actually knows were Earth Dragons go during the winter months. Some have speculated that they shield themselves from the cold air by hiding under the cacti of the Sahara Desert. However, during the summer they can be spotted occasionally in plains and swamps munching up tadpoles and worms. If you wish to see one, hide in a swamp at high noon with a ghost pepper, they can’t get enough of ghost peppers. Keep still and be patient, staying as silent as death.

Are they dangerous? Many people say so because of their capability to decay those who see them, however the babies do not have this power. Furthermore the Earth Dragons pick who they decay and are generally pacifists. Though many have never come back from Earth Dragon  searching. Famous dracologist Nathan J Parker tried to search for one and never came back after 84 years. In conclusion, be extremely careful if you make the walnut-brained decision to look for one.

The Forest’s Secret

Miles collapsed on his bed with nothing to do. Suddenly, he got an idea. He chucked a ton of pillows under his blanket so it looked like he was asleep, then unlocked the window and leaped down…forgetting he was on the third floor. Luckily, he landed in the back of a trash truck. He slipped out and sprinted through the alleyways (he called them secret shortcuts) and eventually got his destination.

He arrived at Spine Snapper Forest. Despite the name, Spine Snapper Forest was littered with cherry blossom trees, filled with pandas and covered by lizards. Bright sunlight slipped between the branches of the trees. Miles wandered aimlessly through, admiring the scenery. Eventually he settled by a pond to relax, dreaming about goblins and gremlins.

A loud cracking noise woke Miles up. He looked around, breathing heavily yet silently to avoid whatever made the noise catching him… or whoever. When he saw nothing was there he calmed down, and then realised there was something… A crimson eye flicked open and shut in the middle of the darkness and the smell of mouldy mushrooms filled his nostrils. He cautiously walked towards it, but without warning it disappeared.

Miles heard footsteps coming towards him from behind. Miles’s feet decided it was time to leg it. He dashed down the street and his surroundings seemed blurred… apart from four red and black tentacles… He kept running and reached the exit.

Exhausted, he walked along the road, rain dripping on his face. Or was it sweat? He tried not think about what had happened, as the more he thought about it the more his brain ached. Rain spat down from the frosty evening sky, and in the middle of the road he saw the silhouette of a small boy with tentacles on its back, and a bright crimson light flashed from the left side of its face. Many days passed, many days passed, and Miles was never heard from again, though some believe he’s still out there…

Shadows!

As Charlotte crept into the room, she got the shivers just standing in the doorway, she heard footsteps under her- the steps sounded like gun shots. She tried to find somewhere to run but there was nothing to help her. Darkness came running, shadows came charging; the door opened… A black figure cam rushing, it had no face just floating  air. It was looking for something it’s pray. Charlotte stopped breathing, stopped moving stopped thinking.

After about 15 minutes later, when the ghost-with no face- decided to stop searching and went back out the door slamming it after him.

Garage

Joe gazed around the garage. A wasp flew up to the wooden door, a battered broken chair lay next to a pile of rotting wood. The air smelled of old oil. Far in the corner of the room, where it was, in the dark, the sound of something growling, something scratching, something alive. Although she was worried about it she had no time. Joe ducked down behind a old bike part and waited.
