The next day, Mrs Crawley said she had to show Billie something after dinner. So once they had their dinner she told Billie to stand in front of the cupboard. “ Ready?” asked Mrs Crawley. “Ready!” Billie replied back. Mrs Crawely unlocked the cupboard! Billie was in shock “ OMG, what is that!” she shouted. Its fur was as white and as fresh as gleaming snow. Its polka-dots were as dark as the night sky on a winter’s night. It mumbled, “ Meet Kota!” said Mrs Crawley happily. Her eyes were a calm green, as calm as a cat, and her ears were as glamorous as a shiny pebble.
Kotas mouth was as small as a robin but as loud as a dog. Her little feet trotted round like they owned the place. Her bright white fur was dancing calmly in the wind. Her teeth were as sharp as the top of mount Everest, but her heart was as warm as Mrs Crawley’s hot potatoes. Her pink tongue was very vibrant but it was as rough as sandpaper. Billie was in such a shock. “ If you want every lunch time you can feed her” suggested Mrs Crawely, “ That would be a delight!” answered Billie. Mrs Crawely smiled and looked at Billie “You do know that it’s fish, not cooked fish just raw fish” she questioned. Billie turned to her “ I didn’t know ,but I don’t care!” she explained. Billie stroked Kota’s soft and fluffy fur “ She feels like a cloud!” she giggled. Billie was transfixed by Kota.
“ Now don’t get too excited, after all she’s just a baby! Said Mrs Crawey.
“ I guess you are very right”, sighed Billie.
Kota rubbed herself up Billie’s leg, “ She likes you!” exclaimed Mrs Crawley.
“How do you know?” questioned Billie.
“ I know because when she rubs herself up against someone it means she likes you!” Mrs Crawley replied. “Oh right, well how did you get her or find her ?” asked Billie.
“ It’s a very long story,” sighed Mrs Crawely “One day at winter time I went for a nice calm walk in the forest, because everyone was stressing me out, then I heard something rumble in the bush. I was praying that it wasn’t a bear but it was even worse. It was Kota. She was a little cub who was searching for food so I had to take her in and feed her.” Mrs Crawely said bravely.
“ Well Mrs Crawley you did the right thing, and more than any human would ever do.” Billie took a breath, “ I wish I could be like you!”
“ Aww thanks Billie but you do know everyone is different and we all have different personalities,” said Mrs Crawely pleasantly.
“ I guess so, I’m going to go tell my friend John about kota!” Billie replied.
“ NO, YOU CAN’T!” shouted Mrs Crawely.
“ Oh, why?” asked Billie.
“ Because if any one finds her then they will shoot her, SHOOT HER!” shouted Mrs Crawely back. “ Oh, I am very sorry I will keep this a secret!” answered Billie.
“ Good!” said Mrs Crawely .
“ Very good,” she sighed, “ Now what would you like for dinner?”
“ It depends, what do you have?” asked Billie. It was silent for a minute, then they both laughed!
That same night Billie couldn’t sleep, she kept on thinking about the little leopard. Was it cold? Did it need a hug ? How much longer would kota live? Did it need to be let free? The next morning, Billie went down stairs because she could smell something sweet in the air. It was Mrs Crawely who was making pancakes, “ Morning Billie!” she said with a smile. “ Morning Mrs Crawley, your cooking smells amazing, I can’t wait to try it !” Billie replied with. “ Aww thank you billie, well how did you sleep?”asked Mrs Crawely.
“ Great, umm also Mrs Crawley today, do you think we could take Kota on a walk in the forest?” Billie said.
“ Umm sure why not ,” replied Mrs Crawely “ Also Billie you can call me Alison if you’d like.”
“ Alright Alison, i’m going to tell you about my dream, so it’s about Kota and in my dream I was asleep but then I Woke up in my dream and we went down to Kotas cupboard and she wasn’t there she went missing,” Billie took a breath, “ and when we went outside we saw here eyes glowing a bright green and her little hers pointing up but when we ran someone took her away and ran and we never saw her again!” she said in a clear voice.
“ Oh right, well for safety you should go and check on her, here is the key!” replied Alison. “ Ok Mrs Crawely I won’t let you down!” Said Billie bravely. She Wandered over to the cupboard “ Ok Kota, here I come!” she said a little bit scaredly. Billie unlocked the cupboard and Kota was still there just waking up “ Hiya girl,” said Billie happily, “ how are you doing?” Kota yawned, so then Billie sang her a little song that she learnt at school. “Billie, let’s take Kota on a walk through the forest!”exclaimed Mrs Crawely.
“ Ok, I’ll get her ready!” Replied Billie.
Since the first time Billie went she and Mrs Crawely thought they would bond a bit, but over the months they gained the best bond and Billie got the one of the biggest secrets to keep.
