Dear Mam,
Thank you for the tub of paster you gave me to eat on the journey and the glass of milk that kept me warm throughout the ride on the steam train. After what seemed like months ,we arrived at Silverdale. It is a small place in the country side and it always smells like wild garlic,it is very green and a lot of cottages around but isn’t much bigger than home. It’s not like our brindle street, it more quiet and green.
Once we got there, lots of old lady’s and men came and chose which children they wanted. It was like being at a cattle market. I got left to last but I don’t know why. I think it is because of the ripped clothes and socks I haven’t washed in 3 months.
Anyways, I am staying with a women that isn’t old and looks quite young. She is clad Miss Honey and has the biggest house in Silverdale. I love Miss Honey and hope I can stay with her because she is moving soon so i might come with her so I can treasure a great journey.
