the boat poem

The boat made of dreams like stars shooting through the night sky sailing across the majestic glowing sea like a soft pillow hugging you through the night.

The boat made of happiness as joyful as birthdays drifting through the lake of fun like a person winning the lottery.

The boat made of love as romantic as valentines day drifting through the lake of love like a burst of love popping into your heart

Ship

Something was crawling up the side of the sky ship’s wooden hull! Ty, whose face was pale, shrinks back and ducked down behind the tiller but Mariana rushed to the edge and peered into the gloom below. She can just make out something or somebody scrambled up the side of the ship. It was quite small and had green eyes. It paused and stared back up at her. “It’s a baby dragon,” she is calling, “and it’s hurt.” Mariana, whose brow frowned with concentration, was going to reach down to grip its outstretched pawed and pulled it onto the deck. “It will be hurt in the storm.”

The dragonlet was shivering with cold and whimpered. Ty dashed off to fetch a ship’s blanket, wondering anxiously if the dragonlet’s mother was pleased to know that they would be helped her baby. Mariana spoke calmly to the baby, hoping that Captain O’Shea wouldn’t take a dim view of what they had done!

A Perfect Park

On Monday, I found a tiny, slippery frog, bounding unevenly from rock to rock,  pebble to pebble, its back legs lunging it into the cool summer air before making an error, plunging into the rushing water below like a penny being dropped into a shallow bowl of water.

On Tuesday, I found myself walking down to the blue, crystal lake, mallards merrily splashing and swimming along as their brown and emerald feathers glistened in the bright rays of light, diamonds reflecting under the shining sun.

On Wednesday, I spotted a adorable, little Dalmatian puppy, happily skipping along, its ears flapping and flying backwards as a large gust of wind blew them behind yet a sweet, panting smile was painted across its face almost to big for its furry head.

On Thursday, I sat down on the sun-baked leather seats of a overly-large rollercoaster a ocean of screams, some joyful some terrified, surrounded me when the long, centipede-like machine plummeted to the hard concrete ground at record speed.

On Friday, I experienced the crispy, crunchy batter of a freshly fried cod, its taste exploding like firework of flavour every shard more powerful than the other, the salted skin melted in my mouth as the vinegar left a delightful yet sour taste on my tongue.

On Saturday, I felt the light splashing of water against my leg as the oars of the water-logged boat worked tirelessly as they desperately pushed  and shoved the water in an attempt to glide smoothly through the water like a plane fearlessly traveling through the vast wasteland of a sky.

On Sunday, I recklessly climbed to the top of the play house, laying down as i bathed in my victory a sensation on joy pulsing through out my blood as a tickle of pure happiness clambered down my spine, my heart pounding as a glisten and a glow sparked up in my eyes.

18.03.24

Dear sir,

I would like to inform you about the upcoming event. There are very good things about this.

first of all, there will be a procession through the town, consisting of a wide variety of well good contributions. Anyone involved must not get in the way of the crowd or there will be a very big row. The mayor will judge the best competition. While that is happening you can go to the Italian restaurant.

After that, there will be a dance display in the town square. If you are interested please stand back so you will not get hurt. If you still want to carry on then the market will be open all afternoon.

Finally, the firework display will be held in prince’s park at exactly six O’clock. We hope you have a wonderful time.

yours sincerely Mr.Karmer.

Chapter Four:A Reunion

Chapter Four: A Reunion.

Jack asked what was on the paper, Mali replied I think it’s a map of the island. look the beach we landed on is called Magic Sands Beach and the church were in is called the ruined church. They went off to explore.  A few hours later they came to the Old Village, it only had the remains of two houses. Jack looked in he there were dark shadows ever where. He thought he saw a flicker of light. Then he saw it a big human like hand reaching out to drag him in to the shadows. Then a big scared face appeared. It was the mother orangutan and the seagull called Jim. The baby orangutan (called captain Jake after their fathers name) ran to his mother.

A few minutes later they were all friends. Mali and Jack also decided to stay on the island and make it there home along with the animals. A couple of hours later they had set up camp and were sitting round a campfire eating fish with a beautiful red, yellow and orange sunset behind them. They were happier than they had ever been before.

chapter two of the Sunset Moon

Chapter 2

Mali stared in horror as the sands rushed to meet them. They appeared to have washed up on a magical island. The sky ship’s mast was in pieces, the sails were torn into tiny shreds and the windows were smashed. The twins were terrified and relieved at the same time. They had survived. Luckily the Sunset Moon wasn’t too badly damaged as they had landed in the water.

Jack stared around, he could see the soft golden sand with little bits of granite that made it sparkly. He could see three astonishing things: a black backed seagull with an eye patch and a pirate’s hat, it was called Jim, a pool of gold and silver water, an orangutan with rainbow fur. There were big granite boulders spread out across the top of the beach. Jack could also see five narrow mountains that looked like a giant had squeezed them until they were tapered and crooked.

Mali could feel the soft, sparkly, golden sand in between her toes, she could hear the wind howling in-between the mountains. Mali suggested they go and find some shelter, so they set off across the island. Eventually they found an ancient, ruined church and spread their parachutes out over the crumbling stone floor to give them a blanket to sleep on during the night

The story of the sunset moon

The Story of the Sunset Moon.

Prologue

You’ve probably been on a sky ship before when the skies are a beautiful deep blue and the ground below is engulfed in trees and bushes. I bet you’ve enjoyed holidays where skies are clear and the sand dry and hot, palm trees everywhere and the sea as warm as a bath.

But you should also try a trip on a sky ship where the wind is howling and fog everywhere and you feel like your life is about to end. That’s when an air ship ride is not so much fun…

Chapter one

And that’s exactly how Mali and Jack two twins felt when they stepped on the Sunset Moon. They had no one but each other. Sadly, their parents had recently died in a storm when they went out fishing in the family boat. Mali was a strong character; she loved solving problems; she was witty and smart. In contrast, Jack a big prankster but kind and generous. Their mission was to fly to New Zealand and find distant relatives. As soon as they set off trouble came, a big storm was spotted brewing off the North Atlantic coast.

As the children battled to keep control a swarm of sky dragons swooped down and attacked them. Next thing they knew they were surrounded by the mythical beasts. It stank of rotten fish and burnt breath. But that wasn’t all, the storm was coming closer and the air was getting colder. Wack, bang, the sky ship shuddered as the kids realised the biggest dragon had banged its tale against the ship. Suddenly the swarm started playing catch with the ship. They were whacking the ship between each dragon. The children could only see flashes of eye bits of green and blue scales and teeth as big as a grown adult.

Mali and Jack felt their tummy’s lift and they looked up and saw the sails burning to smithereens. They were scared that they would crash into one off those islands that look like shadows in the water.

Boom, smash, bang, the twins felt the ship dropping beneath them. Mali hung on for dear life while Jack took a slightly different approach… he ran around screaming like a headless chicken.  Eventually they crashed into the water in-between the two islands!

“Jack, Jack stop screaming it’s all ok.” shouted Mali

Now all they need to do is get the ship onto the island. They had the idea of rowing, but they soon realised they couldn’t because they were on a sky ship not a boat. They felt a gentle breeze coming from behind them the dragons were pushing them towards the golden sparkly sand.
