The Dragon

 The Dragon

The fiery red and yellow eyes stare into the darkness.

The thick bubbly skin covers its skeleton from head to toe like a scary cloak that drenches the blood curdling body.

Its powerful spikes sharp as kitchen knives.

The thin, tight jaw about to open up and swallow you.

Its teeth as big as a megalodons and as horrible as rotting flesh.

The rough green, red and blue scales swamp the   bumpy skin.

Its immense red wings flap until they launch the dragon into the air.

The razor-sharp claws strike at your face.

ROAR!

The woodland poem

The woodland poem.

You are the loud rustle of leaves when a child’s foot crushes them into the soil.

You are the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, like a howling guard dog.

You are a deer jumping over a fallen tree in the evening sunset.

You are the soft whispering of the ancient oak trees.

You are the sound of a hedgehog’s snuffles and squeaks.

You are a tree waving in the bright summer sunlight.

You are the delicate bluebells scattered around the woodland.

You are a squirrel guarding its nuts in the morning sunlight.

You are a fox scavenging in the dark moonlit night.

You are the woodland!

Primary colours

I put on the mask of aqua blue and saw a sea of foaming possibilities, a sky full of adventure and an eye full of hope.

I wore the mask of crimson red and saw a drop drip on to the ground, a rose lone,  in the field and a juicy, shiny apple.

I wore the mask of lightning yellow and saw a field full of bright, blooming sunflowers, a zing lemon and a  canary flying high.

Contents of a bag

Hello I’m Emily O’Donnell and I spend my time going around stealing people’s bags and looking in them. Of course I never steal anything as I’m not a thief but I am very nosey! Yesterday I stole a very important bag and here are the contents: An expensive perfume, a wig, a gold ring, €2000 and an iPhone 15 with a Gucci case! The thing is I don’t know who I stole it off!!! I guess I’ll have to keep it…

Dear Mr Izuku “Deku” Midoriya,

Dear Mr Izuku “Deku” Midoriya,

I am writing to you today to persuade you to come back to U.A and continue to study here for the next 2 years.

My first point is being a hero is harder now because many have quit because of the impact of the League of Villains.

Furthermore, I am concerned that you have not finished your 3 years at high school so it is illegal to become a hero without a hero’s licence.

To build on this concern you are still only a 1st year so your education has not been perfected.

I would like to point out you are injured and need medical care as soon as possible. On the other hand, many people argue that you are a villain. People say you look like one and are very afraid that you will lure the league to U.A.

Some people claim that you look like a teenager which is true. You cannot be a pro hero just yet.

Although some people suggest that you should be arrested, we believe you deserve a 2nd chance because no one knows what it feels like to be hunted down by All For One,

However, The league is still after you but our brand new U.A barriers will put our school in lockdown and we will be perfectly fine.

Alternatively, if the school is forced to move, there are special gears under the area which can move the school away from there and you will be safe.

However that last part is not true because Shigaraki can easily break the walls but we will not let him.

The main reason for this is because all your friends and family want you to come back so you can live a normal school life again.

We believe this is because they care about you, though this might not convince, you we hope you come back safely.

Sincerely, U.A High School, Japan.

Chapter 3

Sam woke with a start; The cat kept sleeping. From outside, he could hear loud voices. Peering through the doorway, he could just make out an army of guards trying to break into the apartment. Sam tapped the cat awake. She lay staring at him with her big green eyes. Sam put his finger on his lips as a sign to be quiet. Angry voices roared commands. The cat let out a long hiss; Sam gulped.

They creeped across the powdery floor, Sam beckoned the cat to follow him. Silently, She crept towards him. Kneeling down, they hid behind a pile of barrels. Sam tugged a tarpaulin over the barrels so they couldn’t be found.

At that moment, somebody barged into the apartment. There was a small pause, a sense of someone listening into the sounds of the creaking floor boards. Torches shined in the darkness; footsteps tapped; The guards began to search. Risking a glance, The shadows shifted. A blowing, hard wind entered the building. Sam shuddered, he cuddled into the warmth of the cats soft fur. They would wait this out and could move away when they left.

It seemed like years but it had only been at least an hour by the time they left. It was night now, in the darkness, the cat spoke to Sam… without making a noise. It was like their minds were connected somehow. She explained how they had to find the portal. A portal back to her own world where no one would dare to hunt her.

Sam had an idea that maybe the portal was located inside the town walls where there was stone archways that looked portal shaped. But they were covered with a metal gate. No one ever dared to touch. People said it was electric. Nervously, he checked her wound. It was still bleeding, badly; she seemed weaker. The town wall would be a extensive walk… and it would be very dangerous. He wondered if they would make it there alive.

Sam knew his family would be worried but there was nothing to do about that. He had to find the portal so the cat could be safe. The boy and the cat crept through the alleyways, behind building and over bridges. It was like a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Speaking dog

Today has been a WEIRD day and this is how it started. I woke up this morning and went downstairs to get my breakfast and when I walked through the hall I said hi to Cheddar my dog and he said hi back. Then I went into the kitchen and everything was fine until I realised that he had said hi back!! I went into the hall and said to Cheddar “how are you today Cheddar” not expecting him to answer back but I was wrong! He said “I am great today, how are you”? What is wrong with me????

How to Safely Cross a River.

Have you wanted to cross the river next to your house? Well here’s how to! If you have a large tree next to your river, Cut it down and it will fall onto the water making a bridge for you to cross. You can find big rocks by the river and push them in and jump on them to the other side. You could get a float and drift over the water to the other side. You can use the stones that are already there to jump to the other side. Or maybe you can take a leap of faith.

Chapter – The Cat

Outside, The sky crackled with lightning and it struck the ground with force. Inside, Sam ran through the abandoned apartment building desperately looking for a hiding place. The floor creaked like mad, the roof was falling apart slowly and the rain dripped from the gutter. To his disbelief, he found that there was no way out. He was cornered.

Behind him the strange man stood angrily in the doorway, the dagger shining in his sweaty hands.

Sam gasped…

… But at that moment, something hissed, louder than a lions roar. Out of the shadows emerged two green eyes, its teeth were as sharp as spikes. Whatever it was, it stepped in between Sam and the man.

Sam was paralysed with fear, the animal was so large it was blocking his view of the man. It was fluffy and brown, with ears as pointy as a pencil led. Sam’s fear disappeared as the animal growled at the man. She left a flower like scent where ever she went. The man fled from them and ran as fast as he could and as far as he could go.

The cat turned to Sam and sat on the ground Infront of him. Sam stared at her in horror. There was a spot of red on her fur. She was bleeding terribly. The blood spread onto the ground when she sat. He had never been so close to such a large animal and had never seen one bleed so much. Sam was starstruck, he didn’t have a clue what to say to her.

They looked each other in the eyes for a moment. Sam felt she wasn’t very keen on him. He stared deeper and deeper into her big green eyes. His fear began to fade and he held out his hand. She lent over and sniffed. Then she licked it with her rough tongue. Her nose was pink and big. He could see kindness in her eyes, as well as sadness.

But then that was when she spoke. A low, but light voice. “I need your help.” She stated. “We must find the portal.”

Sam stared for a moment. He nodded his head, but in reality he didn’t understand what she was saying. He wanted to help the creature. He would do anything to protect it. “They will be back for me.” She said softly. “So I must hide.”

Twenty minutes later, Sam and the cat slid past the dead trees of the cathedral to the old workhouse that no one ever dared to enter. There were rumours about ghosts and spirits haunting this very place, but last summer Sam had made an entry and would sit there listening to the birds chirping for hours. The cat curled up on the ground and slept. Sam watched silently.
