Should dragons be allowed to live in the local area? 

The residents that live here want to discuss whether dragons should be allowed to live in the town. This is a hot topic right now because there are lots of light dragons hatching their eggs in parks and schools. 

A great deal of people want the beautiful light dragons to stay in our town because many people believe that they don’t damage anything or do anything wrong unless you annoy them. Researchers say that the dragons will be very interesting to look at and research on if they do end up being allowed to stay in the town. Lots of younger children in the town are saying that it would be very cool to have a dragon as a best friend! Everyone is saying that in the summer the dragons would be a good source of shade.  

On the other hand, people are saying dragons are no good to stay in the town because they will take up way too much space, like when we are sitting in the park or sunbathing on the beach. We think that they will come to our houses to steal all our good food. Another reason why they shouldn’t stay in our town is because they are very stinky and will make the whole town stink, last of all they will do massive poos around the town and the poos will be very hard to clean up! 

In the end I believe that we should be able to keep dragons in our town! Having listened to all the arguments I have decided to keep them in our town because we could tame them not to destroy buildings and eat our food. 

The Dragon Seeker

The light dragon 

There are lots of different dragons but the most noticeable is the light dragon. Lots is known about these dragons and they love to stand out. 

You would be able to tell is you were seeing one flying in the sky because they are as bright as the sun! They are similar to normal dragons with a long scaly tail and gigantic wings that they fly with. The scales on their body are what produce the light, and it looks like glitter when reflecting off the sun but underneath all the shimmering scales there is blackness as dark as the night sky. The main thing about these spectacular dragons is that they want to be the main character and stand out in the crowd, they like racing in the sky with other dragons to see who wins. 

You can tell where they live because they fly through the sky all day long but at night time they take their scales off and camouflage into the night sky with their black skin. Most people believe that they sleep on the sun but nobody really knows because the sun is too hot for us to touch. If you would like to meet one of these fantastic dragons, grab your airship and get flying! 

Some people wonder if they are dangerous but they are not…Unless you say something rude to them because they hate it. Unfortunately, when you say something bad to them, they get really angry and then they grab you by the ear, they throw you around in the air until you say sorry. You can tame them by bringing them some chocolate so they can melt it on the sun and make smores with you! 

These dragons are not meat eaters so their diets include leaves of trees and any plants they can find. Occasionally they eat the stars in the sky at night when they are flying around.  

He had decided he wanted to save the little girls life so he set off following the screaming girl. The floor was rotting and the bones looked like human bones! There was nobody in the other cages so he wondered where they were. Did they get killed? Were the bones on the floor from those people in the cages? He wanted to stop thinking about stuff like that cause it made him feel very disgusted. He had to remember what he was there for, saving the girl.

He walked on and on following the voice, it sounded like it was getting closer. “Ow” he said after he had tripped up on a stone. He had split his head open! There was a cut oozing with blood like metal! He had to go on, he had to save this girl. He stumbled on and on until he had reached the girls cage.

She was as skinny as a stick as she had not had anything to eat for the last month and her face was a red as a tomato because she had been screaming and crying for hours. He felt so bad for her but he had to get her out of there. He said “hi I’m John and I fly a big ship, I came in here because I saw a troll then I heard you screaming, I followed your voice because I felt so bad for you and now I need to get you out of here safely” The little girl replied “I’m Sophie and there are big green trolls in here and they captured me and my mummy and daddy but I don’t know where they are.” Then she burst out in tears. John said “don’t worry we will find your mum and dad then get out of here.”

The quickly and quietly went down the corridors until they found her parents. When they found them Sophie gave them a big hug and then they went and found there way out the cave and onto the airship to fly away.  They were all glad they didn’t get eaten by trolls or have there bones on the rotting floor. They flew off ready for there next adventure if they have one!
