Chapter 4

                                    The finale

Screams echoed all around: they were being attacked by Alexios Odin. The crew was rushing about, tripping over and bumping into each other. “People, get yourselves together,  you have to fight for your lives!” yelled  captain Kestis. Cal and Cere armed the cannons ready to fire at the threat. Boom! The first cannon fired a cannonball (which failed to hit the target). Instead, the ball landed in the towering trees. Out of the blue, the engines burst into life, lifting them into the air. The air balloon also  kicked into life. All of a sudden, vines snatched onto the ship – which lowered it to the ground. They couldn’t escape the grip of the vines.”I am the planet-crusher!”  Alexios explained furiously. Small rocks were launched at the ship, luckily dealing no damage. What else was he going to do?

Cere took hold of her diary from her dorm room , ready to describe Alexios Odin’s appearance: red eyes, which glow in the darkness; muscles, which are like the ancient god, Leobenin; and torn clothes, which are old, dirty and raggy. “Oh, I could also write about his godly powers,” Cere thought to herself: he can conjure vines from his body; lift boulders and rocks with his mind; and can control the wind, which can create humongous tornadoes. 

The crew were struggling to get the vines off the ship, they were just too strong.  Cal dug his hands  into the vines, attempting to tear through them from the inside. The vines were thick and strong like a Hollywood tree. Without warning, huge boulders were launched at the ship, damaging the hull, the stern and the row. The sound of gunfire started to take place: the captain and three others fired their muskets, destroying the vines that had previously been latched onto the ship. They were free of the wrath of Alexios, but they were locked in battle. The cannons were armed, firing one after the other.  Cal barged into Captain Kestis’ room, remembering about the secret only he knew about. 

Cal searched the draws aggressively, looking for the “weapon”. “Ah ha” Cal shouted proudly. He found a Forest Gem, which can cast a signal to all surrounding animals, calling them for battle.  It had an emerald colour and a green glow. Cal, who was now going to save everyone, sprinted swiftly outside. He activated it, emitting a signal, which he did not know about. Out from the trees appeared a pack of wolves, a sounder of boar and the magical stag- which were all incredibly large. Each pack leaped high in the air:biting and ramming Alexios odin. He had finally been overthrown and defeated.  Cheers echoed around the ship.

Later on, the crew repaired the ship. They set off ready for the next adventure. Cal and Cere stood at the end of the ship glancing at the sunset, pondering the question, where would they go next?

                     Chapter 3

Bonk!Bonk!Bonk! The ship was finally repaired. Cal woke from his tent. As soon as he boarded the skyship, he was immediately ordered to go collect supplies.” Oi you, Cere get over here!” captain Kestis commanded. Cere hurriedly scurried over to her: she was desperate to discover what she was needed for. Cal – who was still annoyed that captain made him skip breakfast – walked without hurry towards the glade, ready to equip himself with many coconuts.

Deep in the valleys of the vegetation was a loud rustling. Cal felt like he was in an infinite maze; every turn felt the same. All of a sudden, a high-pitched growl occurred upon him, emitting from behind him. Cal( who was racing with thoughts) slowly turned around only to find a man with a long, white beard and blood splattered up his face. Was this man safe?

“ I come to you to warn you of the dangers that lurk here,” groaned the man. All of a sudden, he was snatched into the darkness of the trees, screaming with fear. Cal froze: shocked to see that the man he met 2 minutes ago had disappeared. Cal- who was now in a hurry- bolted back to the shoreline, gathering crewmates with no explanation. With their newly found supplies, they boarded the ship. “Star the engines, inflate the balloons! Just trust me!” Cal yelled. Everyone ignored him as they only took orders from the captain. “Please captain tell them,” Cal said with hurry “NO!” captain Kestis yelled. Cal explained that there was danger upon them and that they had to undock from the island, but it was too late. A man(who had no shirt) raised from the trees, snatching many crew members with his vines. It was the lost explorer but gone crazy.” If I, Alexios Odin, can kill my entire crew, then I can destroy all of you!” he explained with anger. What will he do?

Chapter 2

Over the next few days, the Jastu sailed through the icy storm. Rain plummeted aboard the deck intruding the storage barrels. All of a sudden the mist, rain and ice cleared exposing an ancient island named Odyseus. In the centre laid a temple built generations ago.Surrounding it was luscious trees and golden sand. 

On the horizon, a skyship rested in an awkward position. It had wrecked barrels, which were moist and rotten; a sail ,which had the dragon god, Nitro, positioned in the centre; and numerous skeletons burnt to the crisp.” They look like the undead!” yelled Cere, leaning over the deck. 

”Yeah you’re right, their arms look like zombies!” Cal shouted in agreement.

Without waring, the engines failed, which sent the Jastu plummeting to the ground. BANG! They had landed, or more like crashed.Cal Felt like he was going to vomit while Cere was racing with thoughts, thinking she was toast. Cal dashed over to Cere embracing her. They were safe  

with minor damage being dealt to the ship. As they leaped off the ship, they were met with towering but luscious trees, golden sand and plenty of supplies. The water was clear like a pane of glass. Cal could hear the wind howling, mythical birds singing in harmony and the ocean whipping the banks. Bamboo frequently grew on the border of the thick jungle. Curiosity got the best of the crew as they quickly charged into the woods weapons armed. They managed ot find the main ladder to the deck. Captain Kestis barged into the quarterdeck, Cal followed. He found a map with the initials AO. Out of the blue, a scream echoed through the trees. They immediately travelled back to their ship only to find no one there!

Later that day, they set up camp. As soon as Cal And Cere were ready for bed, they both saw a pair of red eyes glowing in the bushes! Were they safe?

Dear Captain Culpepper,

                                                       I am writing to you to persuade you for a career on the wonderful, skyship Aurora. I yearn for a vacancy aboard. You should have a young and experienced boy with you, also with a cherishing heart. I will help succeed on any journey.

First thing first, I am heavily experienced in melee combat and two time MVP (most vicious person). This means I can defend the ship and eliminate all enemies. Also, I am able to train other crew members and teach them the arts.

Secondly, I am quite the engineer; this will offer support to the engines and will prevent us from crashing, helping us prevail on our adventure. If we did break down, then I can repair the engines in under ten minutes.

Furthemore, I am gifted with the talent of being a great chef. I can cook the crew fire food to ward off hunger. I believe that this will improve all of our moods. I can cook any foods that are requested to me. If we have guests, I will be able to cook their native dish, which puts a good impression on us. Doing these actions will start leading us to be well known and get more people on board.

Prologue

You’ve probably surfed on the winds over the stormy seas in a skyship. In summer, you would have soared high above the hills, taking in the spectacular views. When you flew, there would have been stormy sights, which would cast lightning, or bombs of blue planted all over the sky. You’ve probably been taken to one of the deserted islands, and landed to consume your well deserved picnic. Traversing the skies is harder than in a skyship so be prepared.

But travelling on an expedition to undiscovered lands is risking the lives of you and your crew. You should try battling the winds, or prevent lightning from taking you to the heavens! You should try defeating the most feared creatures of the sky, griffins, which will tear you apart with its hored talons; and the all mighty pegasus, which will torture you until you cry! You should try to survive when supplies are scarce! Few people would want to experience these events. Rumour has it that there is a lost adventurer somewhere on these islands.

Chapter 1

Crowds of citizens lifted the excitement as the sound of engines started. The skyship Jastu was hovering into life. The engines were roaring with motivation after having a long rest. Captain Kestis, who was positioned at the wheel of the ship, was grinning with excitement as the ship rose up and up into the air. They had finally started another adventure.

Cal and Cere observed the ground, it was getting smaller and smaller. Far below, they could see the previous islands they had explored. The trees looked like clumps of broccoli on a plate of greens.In the distance, they could hear the sound of phoenixes squawking in rage.The crew was singing, the gulls were singing and the cities below were jumping with joy.

Sitting below deck, Cal was sitting nervously. This was his first adventure on the skyship Jatsu. He was feeling butterflies in his stomach. On the other side of the ship, Cere was over the moon that her first adventure had gone significant so far. Neither of them knew if they were going to be safe, their lifes lay in the palms of Captain Kestis. 

Within an hour, they were cruising on the clouds. Cal could see the clouds expanding like cotton candy;dragons giant nests, which were made of amethyst, crowded with magnificent eggs; and the souls of fallen explorers travelling to the heavens!” Look at that Cere, it looks like the army of the ******” yelled Cal, cleaning the deck.

Later that night, the weather suddenly changed. An icy storm had occurred on them. Icicles bombed it, thunder intimidated it, and thunder whipped it. Not too far in the distance, Captain Kestis discovered an ancient ruin, emitting an array of light almost as if it was a beacon. The light was like a torch being lit for the first time in a pitch black cave.  

                                                                           Advice for an explorer

Have you ever desired to venture across the rough terrain of the world? If so, than take this advice and use it for your own good. It’s important to know what obstacles are ahead and what tools you may need to get past them.

When traversing through rickety rackety mountains, always take an ancient arrowhead. This will be crucial later on in your magical adventure. Bakers, which have lots of food, should always be avoided as their treats are most likely poisoned. During the day when daisies dance, search for the forbidden companion, a crow. This will help you scout out areas to make sure you don’t get in danger.

If you are trudging through the mud of bogano, always slay the beasts that you come into contact with: Ogdo-bogdo, which will kidnap you with its humongous tongue, is the most feared creature in all the land; Bog-rats are horrifying and cunning and they will drag you under ground and suffocate you until you die; and wampas, which will tear you apart and will gobble you up. To deal with these, use an electric sword and destroy these beasts.

The blistering beams of the sapphire sun should always be collected in a mirror-infested jar; this can be used as a blinding weapon, rendering your foe sightless. Always use the blinding weapon against your foes. When eating cans of Baked beans, save the cans because this can be used to mark you were there or to trap enemies.

If you do make the difficult decision of exploring the unknown, than make sure you follow these key pieces of information. Always study your location; observe the beasts that lurk; and explore the unknown. Always slay the beasts (which are very deadly) as soon as they progress towards you.

Good luck on your journey and remember these steps.    

   Searching for a lost explorer

Traverse across the scorching wasteland,

and eliminate the imperial venom-prancer,

and then collect its bones for your adventure ahead.

On the edge of reality,

give a mythical beast the bones you equipped,

and then the mythical creature will give you superpowers.

Fly away to rickety rackety land.

Journey across the bumpy hummock,

consume an icicle and find yourself,

whilst riding a fire breathing komodo dragon.

Joyride on your Komodo dragon to the Bahamas, 

with president Barack Obama,

and relax for a bit on the golden-sand beach with him.

Jump into the sapphire water,

and pick up the golden quarter,

Grab a seashell and blow into it.

With your final precious breath.

The lost explorer will come and his name will be Emit.

On the Isle of Joy and Terror,

I observed the city of joy,

Up and down to the sound of magnificent music,

Whilst mount terror sang sadly with the wind,

On the Island of Ruby,

I heard hot hills bubbling and rumbling,

Blood-sailers setting sail onto the five seas,

While Fort Red were raving to the sound of crystal red parrots,

On the Isle of white,

I saw low-riders drifting through the streets,

Bins eating the wasted ice-cream of memory-makers,

While modern housing where intaking interesting families,

On Ancient Island,

I caged the all mighty minotaur,

The people of indus valley finally making it to the surface,

While the anglo saxons and the vikings were at war,

On the Island of starlight,

I noticed the spectacular stars shining,

Like a an 80s funky disco man,

Sky-drifters dancing in the wind,

While little children were observing the moon. 

What To do if you meet an alien

One day in your life you will meet an unexpected guest, aliens. Are you prepared to meet this visitor? If you aren’t, then you must follow these tips or they will come and abduct you.

First, you need to establish is it is a real alien. Subsequently, this will make you ready to take the alien on.

Once you have made sure it is a real alien, give it a welcoming hug.This will make it think that earth is a lovely place (even though it’s not).  

After that, take it to your house to have a bath. Depending on its species (colour), the temperature needs to be very specific: blue equals 2 degrees; red equals 400 degrees; and green equals 50 degrees. Therefore, it  will be nice and clean, which will make your house anti-dirty.

Finally put it to bed. You must put it in a specific type of bed: a grassy lime green bed; Rose red bed; and a lavender purple bed. Then give it a sloppy kiss. This results in the alien liking you and living happily ever after.

To conclude this, make sure you do all of these. This is the key for survival of the human race.
