chapter 3:

  As the rain began to calm down  and the sun rose. Captain koia  was already giving orders to the crew , “ you over there may you collect more spring water from the mountains,” and that member went off “ and you go collect firewood for the crew and I am cold from the rain and wind,”.

 she turned to Anna, rubbing her eyes and yawning, “You young girl, go get some food for supper we will need it after today.” Anna nodded her head and walked off into the forest . Waking herself up, she picked up sharp flints and sticks to make a spear.

Just catching her last fish, Anna felt like something or someone was watching her every move. Shewanted to get back as quick as possible , so she began to run back through the trees , over rock and through trees again. She ran the way she thought was back but was lost  . She sat down against a tree and put her head in her hands. Suddenly she heard a twig crack behind her. Anna’s head shot out scaredly and looked around her and there was something , something with red eyes , bladed claws, a pointed beak and wings spread wide open.Anna got up rapidly and clumsily picked up her  spear and pointed it at the creature “ Get back ! Get back !” Anna shouted with a frown on her face . The creature bowed and softly spoke  “ Do not fear I am here to help you with your journey . Imps are coming to this island in swarms trying to take over the island . You must warn your crew ! But before you go take this wish stone it burns the  imps skin when it touches them so you can hold them off. “ Thank you ever so

much but I have no idea where I am and I need to get back to my crew!” Anna said with a panic in her voice . The hippogriff put its hand on Anna’s head and closed its eyes. Anna’s eyes glowed bright blue and a trail of her footsteps lit up and led her back to the crew . “ Thank you ever so much i must be off though” and Anna ran back.

Out of breath , Anna ran onto the skyship and searched for the captain “Captain! Captain! Where are you ? We are in danger !” Captain Koia came out of her office with a shock on her face . “ What’s wrong!?” 

“ We need to set sail and leave ; imps are heading to the island to take over !” As soon as Anna told the captain , a crew member screamed out , “Imps are coming! Run!”.. 

Prologue

You’ve probably had a few nights on a skyship.In summer, you would have adventured over crystal water falls, towering above red bark forests.When you flew, there would have been humid air,a rainy day and that time to think. When you flew there would have been floating islands next to you, volcanoes erupting with magma forming and tents lit up by fire-fly lit lanterns . You probably  got taken to one of the nearby lakes to take a dip in the warm water. Travelling on skyships in the summer is always like that.

But travelling to unclaimed lands is a new journey. You should try it when the heavens open up , hail takes over the sky and the clouds are the colour of charcoal.You should try it when the Bewilderbeast attacks and the sky ship collapses and you are stuck under the ship with limited air. You should try being there when the sun burns the sails and the ship is out of control. Few people would wish that on anyone> Even experienced flyers think people shouldnt go on skyships because of the dangers. No one knows what beasts lie within them lands. Rumour has it that bone crushers , tail whippers and skrillls live there.Few would want to witness this but the rumours are there for a reason.

Chapter 1:

The villagers cheered as the skyship Kazy rose up into the cold bitter air and waited for the engines to warm up before it set sail.Captain koias nose was red and her face was pale but she was smiling and waving to the villagers as they set off. 

Layla and Victoria gazed down as the ship was setting off. Far below, they could  witness the villagers leave one by one as they were getting further away. The Kazy cruised over Elderberry village, passing over murky rivers that pass through abandoned castles and emerald green fields .

They could hear birds chirping in the distance and waterfalls aggressively  hitting the still water    underneath. Taking in the silence with their eyes shut, Layla opened her eyes and  glared down to see birds flying underneath and slight clouds forming in the breeze. Being so high made her stomach ache so she stepped back and sat down to stop that weird feeling. Where were they going?

Around supper time, the sun had just set and the temperature was dropping rapidly. On both sides of the ship glow bats where hunting red light beetles and feasting on nateleys as they pass by. 

Layla giggled “ Look they’re eating super like us!” still giggling while staring out the window

“ I was just thinking about whether we will make it to Frost Tip mountain…” Said Victoria with her mouth full.

“ Lets just hope that Bewilderbeast wont wake up from its early hibernation or we will be in biiiig trouble!” 

Dear captain culpepper,

I am writing to apply for a job on a skyship Aurora. I hope you have a position on the skyship for me to associate with! As a trustworthy  young girl , I have many helpful skills so read on to see what I am capable of.

Firstly, I am a fully trained navigator and completed my NNAA’s ( national navigator Academy award). I will be helpful for when the captain needs directions or when the start of a new quest waits ahead.

Secondly, i am a fast runner keeping myself fit and healy;

If something were to  happen on the ship , I can run to the other side and see what is going on or if you need something urgently I can get it in a second .

Moreover, I am very good with wood ; therefore if a part of the ship is broken from a spiker or a glider I can fix it in a flash.If your bow and arrow breaks no worries I can make  you a new and fresh one.

Please consider me as a perfect fit for your crew and coworkers.

Advise for an Explorer

Have you ever wanted to see forests and fields with beautiful skies?If so, read on and discover this adventure. It’s important how long you plan on walking for and what lies ahead.

When walking past a field, make sure you bring a hat because if the sunflowers sun gets into your eyes , they will burn and dissolve.

If you walk past a well , make sure you throw a pebble down it as well trolls like to feast on pebbles. 

While marching through snowy mountains , make sure you wear a leather jacket as the weather can get below -30 degrees and snow dragons love to eat cold people so stay warm.

The flaming orange phoenix should always be admired; as its powers could easily harm you and your  companion.

Therefore, if you want to venture on this deadly adventure. Remember to bring your essentials and be weary of what lies ahead in the thick black shadows.

Searching for a Lost Explorer

Adventure through the torch lit warren,

Carry a kukri, a lady bug on your shoulder,

And a pouch made out of  leather.

Enter the warrens market,

And ask for seven rubies,

But you must offer with potatoes,

and ginger, carrot soup.

Once you receive the rubies,

You will find yourself in Ox-eye glade,

Where fire-flyes ride frogs,

 and toads with saddles. 

Tip-toe to king fire-fly,

And request if you can have one of his toads,

If he agrees feed  it a leftover carrot,

Which will turn  the toad into a horse with 

shining gold armour.

Once you are on your trusty steed,

You will be in a field of lavender, 

and giant metal flowers,

Gallop to the end of the lavender field

And find the metal flower that is

red,blue and yellow.

Once you reach the flower,

a deer with three eyes will appear, 

And will send you to your lost explorer 

On the Island of Frost Nose,

I observed rough Red wood trees,

Guarding the island like giants.

Rocks of all shapes and sizes,

Green jades hidden away in the Quar Mountains.

On the Island of Berry Red,

I found a place called Berry village

Set in a Crimson forest.

As I walked through the village I see 

Rubies being traded and taken.

On the Island of Ivy’s shadows,

I saw thorns and reckless- poisoners growing everywhere,

A statue , covered in moss and plants.

And a hut rotting away from centuries ago.

On the Island of sage green.

I Heard the slight gust of wind

Blowing through a field of olive trees.

The grass  like soft pom poms.

On the Island of Acer Rubrum,

I noticed a pile of leaves sitting perfectly still,

A stand with maple syrup being sold but with no seller.

Chapter 3: The hide 

Suddenly, waking up tucked up against the lynx, Friday realised she was still in the bin ( hints the smell).Friday hands were  pale and blue and she was shivering like crazy , so she woke up the lynx and told her they needed to go. They needed to find a safe  place to go as someone could spot them and the lynx could get taken away.After thinking for a while , they settled on going to a shed in a field

.Just as they were about to go, they heard shouting and loud boot sounds coming their way so they had no choice but to stay in the bin and hope for the best . Ten minutes later , the lynx lifted its head up and head ears shot up from the noise of Friday opening the lid of the bin. The lynx got up and helped  Friday get out – as the bin was huge-  

Once they were out Friday had a sudden idea of where the gateway could be. They went to the small witch hut in the close park – Brandon country park- on their way it was beginning to get dark and it just so happened that they were passing the shed they were planning on staying at so they walked over to the shed and set up camp. The shed was wet and damp but it had a mossy floor so it was comfortable to lay on at least.

It was a cold and harsh December morning. My feet were numb and my eyes were watery, I couldn’t see anything. Mum had a delivery that she needed me to deliver  but I had never delivered a parcel there before . It was my first time ever leaving the  Foreigners estate because mum told me it was dangerous out there especially being a foreigner. Mum gave me a map with a red mark on it so I would know where I was going and what house it was. It took me at least thirty minutes to get to my destination because  I got lost. The map was old and looked nothing like the rods , so I wandered down it . But on the side of the road , was a sign saying “ speed limit twenty miles an hour “ What does that mean ? I thought to myself , horses only have two techniques: walking and trotting . I didn’t get it at first but heard loud  noises that sounded nothing like horses. I finally got to the end of the road , Tired and cold I walked up to a man in a black uniform and said “ Hello I’m delivering a parcel for umm” I pulled out the name of the delivery but  before I  could even finish  he rudely said “ OI where’s your ticket ?! “ I Didn’t know what to do  I stared at the floor and tried to think of a lie because mum always told me I was  amazing at lying and  getting away with it “ I don’t have a ticket but you should let me go  past “ 

 “ And  why should I do that ey ?”

“Well… because I am the daughter of wealthy people and I can give you a raise”

“Well go on then if you must”.

I quickly bowed down and jogged over to a path that led  around a corner. When I got around the corner , I was amazed to see there were lights twinkling in the snow  and  lit up trees  coming of the walls. I slowly walked down the path with my eyes locked on the lights. Suddenly I bumped into an old man and I quickly apologised.

“ i’m so sorry i didn’t mean to bump into you 

“ Ey dont worry littlun, oi you not cold out here do you need some warmth?”  He said with a weird smile on his face but I responded with 

“ no thank you i’m almost home now “  but he suddenly layed his hand on my shoulder and took me to a alleyway but as we got to the end of the alleyway he took his hand of my shoulder  and put his hand in his back pocket  and pulled out a gun and aimed it at my head “ Give me everything you’ve got! “ But Luckily, dad had taught me how to get out of situations like this – mainly at gun shots – so I grabbed the gun and threw it on the floor and carefully walked away.
