Super epic awesome boat poem.

The boat is made of magical dreams,

As mystical as a slumbering night,

Rocking back and fourth lonely in the shimmering, sparkling sea,

Like a school  of fish,

Darting around excitedly.

The boat made of hope,

As believing as ones mother,

Filling your heart with love,

Like a child angelicly singing to you in his high pitched voice.

The boat is made of love,

As romantic as a rose being politely presented,

As caring as a cute cuddly pet,

Swaying gracefully, gleefully and gently in the shimmering sea,

Like the wind slowly pecking at your face.

The Flying Fish in the Beautiful Sea

I’d like you to dream of a friendly Flying Fish, rising and falling effortlessly through the glistening, wild water.

I’d like you to keep this vision inside your head like precious treasure locked away inside a golden, sparkly chest.

Please can you love this Flying Fish and take it home with you?

Please answer the following:

Does your Flying Fish prefer Coca-Cola to Fanta?

How old is it?

What swimming badges has it got?

Has your Flying Fish ever done the London Marathon?

What place did he come?

Which school does your Flying Fish go to?

Has he ever bumped his knee on a rock?

Why is he so good at reading Harry Potter?

Can he play the electric guitar?

Is his favourite film, ‘Scream?’

How well can your Flying Fish, text?

Should we be friends with Dragons?

Should we be friends with the dragons?

We have been discussing whether we should make friends with the dragons, or kill them as our enemies.

In the last year more than 10,000 dragons have come to live in Berkeley, they are becoming quite the pest.

Many people think we should befriend the dragons because they could prove to be very helpful to us. For example, in the winter, dragons could be used to defrost our cars, so that we can safely get to work on time. In a similar way, we could use them to light our fires and heat our baths. This could save us lots of money.

Other people argue, that dragons can’t be trusted. They are capable of terrible things, and could seriously injure or even kill if they get cross. The also think they are a fire hazard – what if they accidentally sneeze and set your house on fire?

I agree that the dragons pose too much of a risk to the lives of the people of Berkeley so I think that we shouldn’t make friends with them, but hunt them instead.

Barry stared at the burger. Outside the dirty window, a wind swept across the rotting wooden town. Cars purred by and on the promenade, manky news papers tumbled along, driven by the wind. The sea rolled up the pebble beach, crashing against the slimy rocks that fringed the charcoal black shoreline.

The Coloured Mask

The Coloured Mask

I wore  a blue mask  and saw

The spherical globe staring me quite firmly in the eye,

the whirl pool dragging the ship into the distance

and a diamond attracting attention.

I wore the orange mask and saw

A phoenix breathing fire into the air,

The sunrise brightening up the sky

The bottle of Fanta leaking through the walls.

I wore the yellow mask and saw

The gorse bush prickling people as they walked past,

the hey bale causing hay fever in the shed

and the sticky note flapping through the white page.

I wore the black mask and saw

The bat flapping its wings through the cave,

the man’s cloak revealing his face

The crows murdering the field.

I wore the brown mask and saw

The chocolate bar retrieved by the little kid

the cow sniffing the bark of the tree

And the glossy conkers falling from the tree.

I wore the white mask and saw

the snow pouring from the sky,

the child licking his ice cream

And the adult pouring the milk into his cup of tea.

In the morning, the car accelerated to the shop, drove around the corner in a rush and came to a halt at the roundabout, indicating left.

At midday, the dragon landed next to Greg, crawled towards the school almost stepping on Anne and paused at the roundabout, stepping on a car indicating left.

This afternoon, the starship hovered over the motorway, aimed it’s laser beams cunningly and fired at the roundabout hitting a dragon.

As the snow fell, Tom waited patiently. He was in his flat in the big city. The phone rang so Tom picked it up. Excitedly, Tom listened. He crossed the room to pick up his suitcase. Tom opened the door and stepped outside. He had his next job.

As there was no one their, I wore a shirt.

In case there was a bad smell, I bought a gas mask.
