I have never.. – by Hamza TJS

I have never been on the moon

But I have seen it in the sky

I have never laughed at my Dad’s jokes

But I have been the only person laughing at mine

I have never won a medal for a race

But I have won a punishment from my Mum for not doing the dishes

I have never gone on an adventure

But I have explored the deep depths of the laundry

I have never been trapped by an evil mastermind

But I have trapped myself inside our garage

I have never been afraid of spiders

But I have been afraid of broccoli

The Hiemal Dragon by Hamza TJS

The Hiemal Dragon is like no other. It hatches from the Verglas Egg and only has one particular breed. Its asperous scales protrude from its skin and pierce through anyone’s body with no effort. It breathes a bitter-cold, agonising breath that can glaciate someone and rip off their limbs. Forbidding, vile, monstrous creature. His penetrating gaze settles on all prey and soon takes their souls away. Never try to outwit the Hiemal Dragon, his intellect is way mightier than you think. Just a touch and your hand will solidify. Just a look and you will pause in fright. His honed teeth are always crimson, you think that is natural, but that is the ice-cold blood of all enemies. Prodigious and widened, his wings can escort him to places far and wide. His skin is a bitter blue, like an ocean possessed by evil spirits. Be weary, the Hiemal Dragon is watching your every move…

The Unknown Figure By Hamza TJS

Amber shed more and more tears by the second. Her tears were equivalent to the rain, at first it was subtle, then it began to pelt heavily. She was sitting beside her local theatre on Turnfurlong Road. Every time she peered into the main room she recollected memories of her parents. But they were gone now, and so was the theatre, ever since the civil war it had been closed. More tears began to trickle down her face and onto the slippery pavement. At this point, she didn’t know the difference between her tears and the rain when they were dropping onto the ground.

She didn’t want to get any wetter from the rain, so she got up and decided to find another place to stay. But as soon as she did so, she instantaneously heard harsh footsteps coming from down the road.Fear stroked her spine and she began to shudder in fright. She was so horror-struck that she was unable to move. The mysterious figure began to reach closer and closer to Amber. Before she knew it, another noise came from behind her, and the mysterious figure had disappeared. But this time, the other ‘unknown individual’ was much closer to her. Amber paused. She felt something on her shoulder, something clinging onto her very tightly. She looked beside her and screamed in terror. The predator had found its prey…

The Mysterious Ghost by Hamza

Jamie’s mouth dropped in awe, the ghostly figure returned. But why? There was nothing but silence in the dark alleyway, all the ghost was doing was staring at Jamie with his beady eyes. Shivering with fear, Jamie walked closer to the deathly man. Clenching his fists hold in his fear, a chill ran up his spine and a stroke of fear hit him like a punch. He remembered the last encounter with this ghost. He was all alone in his house, his Mother was at work, at least that was what she said, but ever since Jamie’s Father had passed away, she seemed different. Tears were rushing down his eyes, like there were two rivers on his cheeks. All of a sudden, a ghostly figure appeared. They both stared at each other, Jamie recognised him but he didn’t know where from. So, he walked up to the man and before he knew it, the ghost disappeared. His mind transported him back to the alleyway. Then Jamie remembered, he remembered that the ghostly figure that had been with him for a long time was his Father
