I drowsily dragged my feet towards the kitchen, where my parents always were. I couldn’t wait to snuggle up in my bed after the long day at school. But first, I had to let mum and dad know I was home.

“Hi…!?” I exclaimed looking round frantically. My parents weren’t in the room! “Mum? Dad?” I called as searched the house.

My parents were not in the house. I was certain. I then noticed a note taped to the fridge. It said: Put fifty thousand pounds on your doormat. OR ELSE! My eyes widened. I definitely was NOT sleepy anymore!

Today, at precisely ten twenty in the morning, a new animal has been discovered. It has been named the Dinji. The dinji has a structure of a giraffe. It’s four green, long legs are about as long as the second floor of a building. The males have colourful feathers sticking out of it’s white tail, whereas females don’t. Its green body, face and neck is filled with yellow spots. The dinji tends to live in rainforests. There are currently around only ninety-nine dinjis in the world. The finder, Hana Tazoe, will be taking photographs and doing research about the dinji.

I was doing my maths worksheet when Mr. Granker pointed his wonky finger at me and growled in a low voice,” I want a word with you.”
I sighed. This wasn’t the first time he had wanted me. What was he going to tell me?
“I received an email telling me that you have scribbled on the boy’s bathroom walls,” continued Mr. Granker in his serious tone.
I gulped. That, I shouldn’t have done, I admit. I hadn’t meant to do too much, only a few little scribbles. I knew I was in big trouble this time, unlike the others.

Please don’t kill the precious animals or cut our needed trees more than you need. Don’t throw trash on the ground or in the seas. Remember, reduce, reuse and recycle! Use solar power.
