What are? poem

What are fragile a butterfly’s wings as they glide across the wind  and a snail’s shell as it gracefully moves across the soil .What are silent? the wind in the wind in the trees, birds soaring through the air.

What are empty? a haunted house that has been left for years, a deserted island after a war. What are cold? an ice-cream from the freezer and dry ice as it leeks in to the air.

What are hopeful? a puppy as it tries to run for the first time, a baby as it crawls ,What are mesmerizing? the sun as it glistens as it sets in, the moonlight as the stars brighten.

I have never but I have

I’ve never been to the moon

but I have seen it at night.

 

I’ve never ride an elephant

but I have rode on a horse.

 

I’ve never seen the Northern lights

but I have seen coloured lights.

 

I’ve never outside in a storm

but I have been outside in heavy rain.

 

I’ve never danced in a competition

but I have done a ballet class when I was 2.

 

I’ve never had a tree-house

but I do live in a house.

 

I’ve never stroked a lion

but I have stroked a tabby cat

 

Should Chip Dragons stay or don’t stay?

We are discussing whether or not Chip dragons should be able to stay in New York City.Some people are saying that they should stay because then we can always eat free chips.Other people are saying they should stay because citizens from other cities will want to see the dragons and our city will become more popular. In addition,I have a reason why they should stay because the Chip dragons can save our city from bad guys.Another reason why they should stay is the they can be very fun to play with and they can be very cool.If you know them for long enough they can become your best friends.

The Rainbow Dragon

Out  of the rainbow egg came a rainbow dragon.There are many different breeds of dragons and one of the most intriguing is the rainbow dragon.

Where do Rainbow Dragons live?

The vast majority live at the end of rainbows.Surprisingly,some rainbow dragons live in gardens which is very weird.Most rainbow dragons like to live in the sky so no one can see them.Rarely any rainbow dragons like to live on land.

What do they look like?

All rainbow dragons have colourful scales.In fact,rainbow dragons have the second largest tails in the world.However,they have very long claws and have very sharp teeth but they are very friendly.

Thunder

Jake was sitting on the couch.When suddenly,the light was starting to flicker.Jake was scared and nervous.A few minutes later,thunder was starting to strike and so did lightning.

Jake was too scared.In fright,Jake scurried up the creaky,dusty stairs to tell his mum.To his surprise she was sleeping.Jake started to feel more worried.He started to bite his finger nails.

When Jake’s mun woke up she asked”What is that noise?.”Jake did not answer.The room was silent.All they could hear was the thunder.Jake  felt like he was in a horror film.

In a matter of minutes the windows flung open.The wind blew Jake’s mum’s hair.The wind whistled through the house making it cold.Both of them were scared.What happened next?

The Creepy Old House

The old house was full of rats and huge black widows. Emily stared at the black widow in disgust. She looked at the ceiling  and saw a huge hole with cobwebs going across it. Everywhere Emily looked there would be a cobweb or a rat. She turned on the flickering lights  to find out how dirty the windows were.As Emily walked up the stairs the floor started to creek. When Emily touched  the wall there was dust all over her hands so she went  to the sink but it wasn’t working. Emily thought she was doomed.

Lila’s and Biggy’s Day

Lila was shy girl and she was 10 years old. Biggy was a brave boy,he was 11 years old and had a lot of friends compared to his sister Lila. They walked to school in a good mood but they were a bit late for school. “Sorry we are late”they mumbled to Mr Chris which was there teacher. Biggy and Lila missed the beginning of the maths lesson.

At playtime,Lila would sit on a bench and read a book while Biggy would play with all his friends. Biggy was never bored and Lila was. When playtime was over they scuttled to class. There next lesson was english they were both so excited.

By the time it was lunchtime,Lila and Biggy were doing what they usually do. When Lila suddenly found a boy who had the same book as her.Lila and the boy were friends.His name was Jeremy. They were both excited to meet each other.

 

Winter Haiku

I can touch

the freezing white

snow.

 

I can smell

yummy roasted

dinners.

 

I can see people

roasting marshmallows

to make smores.

 

I can taste

hot chocolates and

movies.

 

I can hear people

shivering and

unwrapping presents.

 

I can see people

roasting chest nuts

on the grill.

The Sunny Day

The sun was as hot as an oven.The sun beamed happily at everyone and everyone beamed back.A fluffy bunny hid in the insect filled bushes hiding from the sun and squirrels.Amy went out into the heat and bought a mint ice-cream.The garden was full of flowers,long grass and a trampoline.To her surprise she locked herself out of her house.”Help!”she screamed as loud as she could.Amy never believed in  ghosts. Eventurly Amy was able to get back into her house.She turned on the air conditioner and ate some more mint ice-cream on her bed.
