The Bad News By Liam N and Morgan

The Bad News

Cole burst through the open door, leading in a warm breeze and raced upstairs. He slid through the bedroom door and launched himself on the first bunk of the bunkbed. He reached for his controller and turned on his Xbox. It made a loud shimmering noise as the screen turned green with text saying Xbox.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Slowly while still looking at the Xbox, he pulled out his phone. On the screen the coloured pixels spelt out ‘Come over now, from Ellis.’ He suddenly turned his Xbox and TV off and reached for his backpack. He threw on the backpack and bounced of the bottom bunk.

He ran through the door and he saw his dad laying down on a sun bed in Hawaiian shorts. Eventually, he was at the door of Ellis’s house. He wasn’t patient so he aggressively open the front door. “Hey Mandy!” He shouted to Ellis’s mum before heading to Ellis’s bedroom.

He knocked at the door and opened it soon after. “What’s up Ellis?” Ellis was slumped on his bed with a bag of starbursts with wrappers everywhere. On his side table sat a humongous cup of orange juice. “Just sit down. I need to tell you something

The Storm By Liam N and Morgan

A light flickered as the storm grew. Bethany opened the front door with fury in her eyes. To her surprise, her neighbour had stolen her prized ring. “ASHLEY. IM GOING TO…” Bethany looked up into the sky. There was a deadly storm heading straight for Bethany’s house. Unsteadily with a lot of effort, she shovelled herself into her home.

The Forgotten Dream By Liam N and Morgan

 THE PARK

You are the theme park screaming,

You are cold and rusted.

You are the ferris wheel,

Tilting and turning.

You are the flooded, destroyed ride,

Acting like you are a blue sea monster.

You are the red, rusted swing,

No longer able to turn to look.

You are the dinosaur cars,

Attached to the ground with metal pipes

You are the colours,

Fading through the years of being abandoned.

You are the rides,

Thirsty for a new paint job.

You are the ferris wheel cart,

Waiting to be cleaned.

You are the leaves,

Tumbling from the autumn trees.

You are forgotten dreams,

Waiting to be discovered again.

You are the park,

Being rebuilt from the ground up.
