Chapter One-On the run

They finally arrived at the bedroom.

Eva rested Pidkin on the bed while Peter grabbed supplies for the adventure.Peter grabbed weapons,food,water and a map.

“We’re ready” said Peter, then they heard someone coming ,at high speed Eva grabbed Pidkin and they all jumped into the evacuation hole.

The hole was dark,damp and muddy and they felt scared and worried about their parents.Peter had a ripped jumper with muddy trousers.Eva was carrying Pidkin because Pidkin was only just learning to run.

Soon they reached where the path went in three directions.”Which way should we go?”asked Peter, trying to see if he can see the ends of the tunnels.”Right is always right so let’s go right,”exclaimed Eva.

When they came out of the tunnel they were in the middle of a forest but Peter’s legs were tired so they went off to find shelter.Did the Gorm follow them or did they lose them…

Chapter two-Redwood Forest

Pidkin was first awake  so she woke everyone up.Peter immediately woke up and pulled out his dagger until he realized it was Pidikin.When Eva woke up her and Peter started to pack up.”Next stop Firey Hills” said Peter and they started their journey.

Redwood Forest has long trees and red leaves.The trees barely let any light through and you couldn’t even see the sky.”Why do you keep looking behind you?” asked Eva.”I just have a feeling that someone is following us”said Peter.He kept hearing screeching of metal but it was just the snow under their feet.He kept mistaking Pidkin shuffling as a bird flying above them.

They finally reached Firey Hills.There was volcanoes everywhere and it felt like they could erupt any moment.”Why did we come here”asked Eva”the metal should melt off them and they should return to normal”explained Peter.

“Gor!”said Pidkin pointing to the Gorm.As soon as they saw the Gorm they ran away to find a place to hide.They found a hut so they quickly ran inside and hid.They forgot to shut the door so the Gorm knows where they are.Is their hiding spot good enough end…

Chapter 4

I was about to run back but the cobble wall was blocking my path.”It’s ok”he said in a calming voice stepping forwards.He put his hands up to show no threat.

The Sea Serpent looked happy but we was still not sure.Noah walked up to the sea serpent and started to stroke it.”We good?”he asked and the way it was looking we took it as a yes.I was surprised it was even working.

“Lets go.”I said”But we don’t know how to get out” he said looking at the Sea Serpent.It started to walk away.Noah followed the creature.When I catched up we were at the exit!When Noah said goodbye we walked back home.

Outside,l sighed in relief.Inside we hear the Sea Serpent going back to its nest.

The fog had cleared.The shining stars reflected in the sea.We walked back to the fish and chip shop discussing on how to keep the Sea Serpent safe.No one can find the cave.No one can find the Sea Serpent.

While we were walking through town,daylight shined over the town.Oliver changed the closed sign to an open sign while giving us a wave.Aura was putting up tables and chairs for her hot dog stand.Herey put umbrellas and coats for his corner shop.

I fiddle with the keys and opened the door.It was warm and quiet.but before you know it will be back full of people.

Noah walks over to the ‘showcase of volleyball’.I stand beside him and he points to fragments of glass.He saw something purple.Purple,speckled with red.We look at eachother,thinking the same thing.

All night,Noah had been reading books,ancient logs and records.He found a log made by a captain.It was about a crew that found a purple with red speckled around it.Then a snake like creature attacked and they want to kill it ever since.

That evening,we talked.Our adventure only just started.

Chapter 3

Four days later and we are in the basement of the fish and chip shop.we sit there sipping away at our tea,my favourite drink.Outside,the heavy rain flooded the town.Inside,it’s warm and cosy.”Please help me,I know where it is.”he said

Apparently Noah went on a hunt to find more footprints.He went to the ruins up on the hill to find its home.There was a cave which had purple blue eggs.But before he could continue,there was a screech.

Before we leave we locked up the doors and windows and turned off the lights.We got torches and started our journey.I didn’t believe Noah until when it screeched it got louder!”It told you”said Noah,turning on his torch.

Noah had forgot where the cave was so we went on a little hunt.Some time later,we found the cave of the Sea Serpent.I was terrified but Noah dragged me with him.I had a feeling that this is going to get us in big trouble.

The cave was damp and dark.The flint shined in the torchlight,sitting on the side.I was calming down until there was a trail of puddles leading to a nest that is made out of logs.We froze in place as inside the nest there was a Sea Serpent egg.

Just then,I felt like someone was watching us.”We should get out of here”I hissed, dragging him to the exit.When we got to the exit there was someone blocking the exit.The long scaly body,dagger like teeth.There it is.The Sea Serpent!Noah walks forwards;I step back…

Prologue

You’re probably been to paradise palms.In summer there would have been an ice cream van there selling the most delicious ice cream you;ve ever had.When you went there you probably made a sand castle with a moat around it and many slippery,shiny rockpools to explore.It’s that place… in the summer.

But in the winter,when you’re on the roads it’s like a ice skating area (but in a bad way);the sand was probably as hard as titanium.Don’t even try to catch crabs as they would be out the water in one of the caves.Only a few people visit then and the people who don’t have good reasons why…

Chapter 1

My name is Kat Kit and I work at the fish and chips shop.Most people just call me Kat.I am the cleaner;I polish the windows and clean up at the end of the day.Someone once told me it must be a boring job but I like it.I have a room with a sleeping bag and a old fire to keep me warm.At summer we get lots of customers but in the winter we bareilly get any.

A boy bangs against my window and yells “Let me in!”.I stared at him wondering what to do.It’s very late and the shops closed.He looked really cold so I opened the door and he rushed in and sat on one of the chairs.Breathless,he says,”Hide me!”

Before I continue with what happens next,there’s a story about our town that I should tell you.It happened along time ago that no one remembers.Theres a legend that says that there is a sea monster that only attacks at night and if you were at the beach at night it would attack.It is known as the Sea Serpent.It smells like rotten fish and people say that its spikes are made of sailors bones.When people heard its screech locals would close windows and doors.

Some say that it was finding its child or finding its food.But when someone went missing on the beach at night,people have been locking everything when they heard it.

“Why do you need to hide?” I asked her.”What is it?”

“It’s here!”he says,”look carefully”.

Sea Serpent in danger

The sea serpent is classified as a sea monster which is closely related to the frilled shark.Unlike the frilled shark,the sea serpent can live on land and on water.

Sea Serpents are hard to identify as they look like an eel.A sea serpent has slippery,slimy fins.It also has spikes all down its back.It has a venomous tongue to kill its prey while it’s in its mouth.

This vicious creature lives in The Great Barrier Reef and only hunts at night so they can catch their prey more easily.They eat big fish such as sharks,eels and sometimes crocodiles (if there is any).

These animals are mistaken for eels so people kill them thinking it was an eel.So please even if it is an eel don’t kill it just in case it isn’t.

Last night,I was on the beach admiring the sky when suddenly, a fish-like head popped out the sea and stared at Seegol.Then it jumped on him and bit him;Then it quickly ran back into the ocean.

I rubbed my eyes to see if I was dreaming but I wasn’t!I quickly ran into Seegol’s Diner and hid behind the counter.After 10 minutes I ran to the Grand Nautilus Hotel to find a phone.

When I did I called the Ambulance and they came immediately and rushed him to hospital.”Am I dreaming or are the old legends true?”
