In the room of planets,

The night-flyer-Olivia SWW

The night-flyer is a bewildering form of insect that recently has been discovered hiding in the snow of the Alpes. Interestingly, its abilities have been examined and scientists believe it is a form of insect. Would you ever recognize one and is there any critical facts we need to know about?

This insect is similar to the majority of insects: six legs, two antennae, two wings and two eyes. It’s shell is a dark blue that twinkles like stars when a gentle light shines on it. Most of night-flyers have unique antennas with maroon-red, delicate fur that prickles up; sensing the tiniest of things. Furthermore, night-flyer have four tiny wings that help to curve round corners and dodge large objects. Its bulging eyes are dark and gloomy like black holes.

The most bewildering thing about the night-flyer is that it hovers around stealing eggs of the most challenging and deadly animals. Able to carry heavy weights, the night-crawler uses its sharp pincers to help its sicky legs. Alarmingly, this creature has a deadly poisonous sting that hurts like a burn from fire. Please. Beware.

Away-Olivia SWW

Chapter 4

Staring around, she looked for the broken black door that had let her into this precarious world. Unable to see it, she sat down wondering and waiting. Peering into the grey darkness, she felt a tear trickle down her face. She was lost in this imaginary world; alone. Standing up, she kicked a tree. All of a sudden, Daisy jolted upright. What was that sound? She stared into the woods that sat on her right shoulder. Long vines hung down onto the green grass. Leaves floated down to the floor. Something black and glossy was shining in the light of the stormy day. Could it be? No! It appeared to look like a little door.

Determined, she ran towards it; ready to face anything in the way. Suddenly, branches, like old crocked fingers, threw shadows at her eyes. She halted. Axe sharp fingers glistened out at her, poised. She stared at her feet; knowing that she wouldn’t get out. Daisy never would give up; not until she was dead.

Remembering that she was great at jumping, Daisy leaped over the branches. Surprised, the trees slashed hands out. But Daisy was all ready to high to get caught. She had won. Once landed, she raced towards the door, heaved it open and jumped in.

Committed to getting past the shopkeeper, Daisy guiltily crept towards the red velvet curtain that swayed in front of her. Peering round, her eyes met with Maxine Mitadation’s and she staggered back. “I see you have decided to return,” he said harshly.

“You must know that not everything you see is what you hope it is.” He glared at her wide eyed and put down the toy bus that he was fiddling with. “But the past is in past.” he muttered. Daisy slowly stepped toward the door.
“Goodbye,” she whispered, heaving it open and imagining her cold tea on the table. She didn’t want to leave but her mum would be mad if she turned up late.

She was out. Trudging through the snow, she promised to herself; she would come back. One day.

Chapter 3

Staring at the door, Daisy looked at the peeling paint work that folded round the rusty brass door knob. Gingerly, she reached out her hand to swallow up the handle and, as she touched it, she felt magic spring into life. She entered.

The room was perfect: flowers bloomed as she walked by; colourful fruit hung down of trees; and a stream slithered down the fields. In the centre, an old cottage stood shinning in the morning light. Tweeting birds flew over the cottage, as roses climbed against the garden walls and round the windows. The door was open; the sweet smell of freshly baked cakes wafted out into this new world. Without thinking, Daisy merrily skipped down the gravel path towards the cottage.

She was met by silence. The house had everything that you might need: a cosy sitting room with a sofa and a wood fire burning brightly; a tiny kitchen with purple cups and plates; a table that was set for two with a teapot steaming loudly. She loved this place. It was really perfect. She made her way up the stairs to a darkened landing.

Without warning, the sky turn black and she was left in darkness. Terror filled her body. She was all alone in this mysterious land. Down below, creaking floorboards crackled; the sound of talons hoping on the floor. Perching on the stairs, she waited. Something was ready. Goosebumps prickled her body. She would have to stay there until it was over. Suddenly, kicking at the door, she ran. Daisy didn’t care to look back; not until she was where the door was. But now it wasn’t there. It was gone!

Chapter two-the emporium of differences-Olivia SWW

Chapter 2

“This is my endless Emporium of differences. Do you like it?” he questioned, staring deep into her amber eyes. Daisy looked around, then cluelessly nodded. She loved the odd objects scattered around everywhere: the rusted cages for exotic animals; the night and day pictures, which changed depending on the sun and the moon; and the glistening shining sap in the broken basket. “You know it’s not correct to touch strangers things. So why do you do this to my amazing book? It’s out of bounds, ok?” he shouted, watching her.

In a bellow of smoke and a flick of his cape, he was gone. The golden eagle perched in the corner, shrouded in silence. The temptation came back; the book was just there. She noticed that on the cover a name was dented into the leather. Checking no one was listening, she read out the words “The Wonderous Book Of Maxine Mitadation!” Reaching out, she grabbed the silver bound book and opened the first page. The swiggly writing curved off the page, the dry ink pointing to the curtains.

Detracted, she put the book down, looked up and saw magpies twisting up above her head. Meanwhile, a magpie, which was on the top shelf, quickly took her hands and lead her towards the precarious doors behind the curtain.

Stopping just infront of a door, she waited, staring deep into the pealing paintwork. She knew what do, she slowly twisted the handle, she was in.

Prologue
The Emporium of Differences

There are magic places dotted around; magic places that people only believe are in stories, myths and legends.

If you notice them, then they will reward you with fragments of curiosity. If you see what people don’t see; magic awaits. Magic brimmed with collisions of worlds and feelings. Magic that hides from people who don’t believe in witchcraft and wizardry and shows itself to the people who cares for it. There are opportunities awakening and paths to find and to follow.

Visual magic as an amazing adventure or a wonder waiting to be explored. Finally, one windy autumn day an explorer did come. An explorer called Daisy.

Chapter One

Daisy had always been curious and everyone warned her about gaining trouble . Just as the heavens opened, Daisy was on her way back of returning a gift from her mums friend. She decided to wait until it the weather had past. Slipping in a shop canopy, she rested, looked through the windows into the dark room and quivered closer to the door. Twisting the door handle, she opened the grey door and tip-toed in.

Wonders filled the room. Unique objects brimmed the corners. Sitting on the desk, a cage filled with two magpies watched her as she stared around. A miniature light house glistened in the in the little light of the grey day, rotating round 360 degrees. Fast fans breezed the Mahony bark covered in the first Mayan hieroglyphs. Dusty diaries precariously leaned over the patterned carpet. She was listening to clocks chattering, alarms screaming and watches clicked together all as one. Old weaved baskets seeped sap, books flew around finding different spaces to land in and a candle wax burnt out, wafting smells. In the centre, she came to stare at a statue of an eagle that was perching on a block of dark bronze. Resting on the wings, an old battered book touched her fingers. She looked through it. Magic after more magic.

“I see you have found my special book.”
A sharp voice hissed through the silence. A man stood, hovering upon her. A look of mystery on his face. He bitterly smiled.
