Olympic Crowds-Olivia SWW

Olympic Crowds

Kick the point of an Irish dancer’s foot,
and the pecking of a free-range chicken.

Crack the shell of a moorhen’s egg as it hatches,
and find my mother’s smelly running shoes.

Watch nature take a change when you hold the world in your hands, and simmer a rising smile in a puppy’s face.

Grate the sound of a loud butterfly’s wings,
and a pounce of a leopard’s eyes.

Serve silk of a fine frock, that’s been parting all night,
and a final bounce on a trampoline covered in Olympic crowds.

Beyond the colour door- Olivia SWW

Beyond the colour door

Beyond the artic blue door,
Neptune stood;
ice cold in the midnight sky.

Beyond the marigold door,
a scent of honey wafted
as bees wildly worked.

Beyond the fuchsia pink door,
roses blossomed
in the spring air.

Beyond the ruby door,
red apples as shiny as a star
shouted, “Eat me!”

Beyond the ocean blue door,
the salty sea silently swept along the coast,
crashing against the rocks.

Beyond the book brown door,
a story awaits another
day.

Owls-Olivia SWW

In The Room Of Owls

I walked the room of owls, and the walls started to hoot.

Feathers covered everything in a blanket of brown; mice filled the dinner bowl.

Great wing spans hugged the chairs, tipping them forwards and back.

In the corners, trees with massive holes sprouted through the golden pink carpet.

Terrible talons pieced wood, gripping round the light shade.

Suddenly green eyes turned towards me.

The Glowing Pearl- Olivia SWW

There was a loud bang and the Glowing Pearl rushed down in an echoey silence. Holding their breaths, the crew didn’t move as they all knew what was going happen. The massive ship: swayed from side to side; Captain O’Hara clung to the wheel; and twigs popped the balloon making a huge sighing sound.

The Glowing Pearl floated down with a drifting glide to hover above the long grass. A sudden sigh filled the ship as for they thought that the deck was safe. Just then, a fire burst out of the ship and everyone abandoned the deck.

They had landed in a hidden land that was full of many vines, branches and animals. Flies pestered the trees, flying stupidly. Squatting the flies away, Georgie looked around confused; walked into the flies; and looked straight ahead. A clearing.

In the centre, Theo and Georgie saw: a snake of orange and yellow that curled up in the sun; a beautiful parrot full of mythical colours; and hidden pillars full of chiselled shapes and words. The rocky stone floor crumbled like old stone walls. On the edges, the trees circled wildly; sticks blew in the wind; and a little bridge, leading into the unknown, broke.

Thirty minutes later, Theo and Georgie found the selves back at the Glowing Pearl; the crew had gone out looking for supplies. The Captain left strict instruction; not to leave the ship. Georgie an Theo stood looking at the setting sun.

At that moment, a scraping noise echoed around them.

Five things in a fairies pocket-Olivia SWW

Five Things Found in a Fairies Pocket

A handful of freshly picked daisies, that stand against the grass, wishing for new life.
A fragile cloak, made from the softest cotton, to drape round fairies when they are scared.
An adorable whistle, that is blown in the state of danger, to calm a beast’s temper.
A tiny light, that shimmers bright when fairies lose their way, to find their home in the moonlight, sparkling down.

A wisp of wishes floating away for another day.

Dragons-Olivia SWW

Have you ever wanted to keep a unique pet? If so a dragon is the best pet; as it is never bored.

However, this is not a easy pet to look after as they may become a fiery mess.

You will need: a tracking collar, a whistle, many fire extinguishers, plenty of food, water and a dragons den.

Many dragons like to roam freely but if they go too far a simple blow of the whistle should to the trick. If not, you may use your tracking collar to see where the dragon has explored to.

Mealtimes for dragons are a scary thing. Here’s what to do:
-First, lay the food somewhere safe.
-Next, run to a spot and put on a disguise, that’s not a human, as the dragon may mistake you for it’s meal.
-Finally open the door and let the animal out.

Dragons like to sleep in dens for long stages as they hibernate in summer.
keep them for fourteen hours in their den and the rest of the time they will fly, dig, eat and drink.
A final word is that, dragons like to dig, so you may find many holes in the ground.

The Nature Pegasus -Olivia SWW

The Nature Pegasus

The Nature Pegasus is a type of flying horse and is found in the countryside of Gloucestershire. Every month, neighbours and scientists gather in forests and woods to try and find out more about these beautiful creatures. Due to climate change, these winged horses have begun to come and shelter on branches. The unicorn spotters in the area have been delighted with what they have seen. However, not much is known about the Nature Pegasus.

Would you recognise a Nature Pegasus if you saw one? Like most unicorns, they have a flowing mane, a long tail and powerful wings. A bonus feature is it’s extraordinary wings, which are covered in feathers and thin like a spiders web. Amazingly, its curved hooves help them to make a borrow. This is why they get the nickname name ‘the flying rabbit’. They have got a wide head, night vision eyes and long fury bodies.

The behaviour of the Nature Pegasus is very odd and through the past years, they have been acting bizarrely. Scientists think their behaviour is changing because of climate change and the thought of their young in danger. A Nature Pegasus is calm to all humans apart from the unicorn hunters.

If you believe that one is living in your local area, it is probably best to keep it a secret. They enjoy being fed straw by hand if you gain their trust. Remember though these are wild creatures so do not try to ride on them as they might kick and buck. Let’s keep these creatures safe for the future.
