On Tuesday , the car accelerated on the pathway , then drove round the corner in a flash and came to a halt in the school car park out of gas .

Yesterday , the dragon landed on my house , then he crawled towards the school in fear and paused on the £100,000 tesla and blew fire at an old lady .

Last night , the starship hovered over my house ,  aimed its laser beams dangerously and fired at my car rapidly .

Ruby’s blog challenge

As the snow fell , Tom waited patiently in his flat . All of a sudden , the phone rang he picked it up and listened . He crossed the room in a flash and picked up the suitcase .Then he opened the door and rushed outside .

Although it was snowing , I still ate my breakfast .

Since there was no one there , I played music very loudly .

In case there was a bad smell , I brought gas mask .

Although it was scary , I still fed the shark .

Whenever there was an odd sound , I play my trombone .

Clauses

As the snow fell, Tom patiently waited in his flat. Suddenly, the phone rang. He picked it up. After he had listened he crossed the room. Then he picked up the suitcase and slowly went outside.

When I played my trombone, there was a funny sound.

Since there was no one there, I fed the shark.

After I ate my breakfast, it was snowing.

Although it was snowing, I wore a shirt.

Before I ate my breakfast, there was an odd sound.

Since there was a funny smell, I bought a gas mask.

In case there was no one there, I took my time.

Contrasting Sentences

On the left road, weeping willows, dark mist and disturbing sounds roamed on the cold rocky path. To the right, tall oak trees foxes and pleasant sunshine would flood on the warm path.

Outside, street urchins begged on the cold streets as snow drifted onto their bare feet.                                              Inside, the middle-classed folk danced and ate, wrapped by the warm fire ablaze.

Above the towering castle, dragons swooped and lit up the sky with their outstanding fire. Below in the castle’s dungeons, a criminal plotted his daring escape.

Outside, the school children laughed as the playground was plunged into utter chaos. Inside, the teachers chatted quietly, and everything was still.

Behind, the school it was dark and gloomy.                                                                                                             In front of the school children talked as the playground was full of life.

Outside inside

Outside, the rain fell across the village. Inside, I looked out into the bright sunlight in the city. Outside, it was a sunny day on the beach. Inside, the rain fell as hail started to form. Outside, the snow fell and we made a snowman. Inside, we watched people on the beach make sandcastles. Outside, a storm was coming so we ran inside. Inside, the sun came out so we ran downstairs to go to the beach. Outside, the rain hissed and shot down onto the town. Inside, the sun appeared and shon down on my apartment.

Contrasting Sentence’s

Outside of the school , it was very cold .

Inside the classroom , it was very warm .

Above the pool , was the shining sun .

Under the sun , people were very hot .

West of the castle , was a big dragon .

East of the castle , was a pack of wolfs .

Outside the house , was a fox .

Inside the house , was a parrot .

Inside  the castle , was a Gard dog .

Outside the castle , was a big rat .

Joyful Joyce

As soon as joyful Joyce skipped into the bus, sunshine flooded into the once dreary bus. She was delightful and cheery with a welcoming smile that could even make a snake feel warm inside (even though snakes are cold blooded). “Hello soon to be friends,” Joyce said happily, “You know a stranger is just a pal you haven’t met yet.” (You shouldn’t always talk to strangers.)

Mr Hardy

As soon as happy-faced Mr Hardy skipped into class seven, the familiar room immediately appeared to turn joyful. He was thin with a massive grin like a child at a sweet shop. “Sit down everyone!” Whispered the new teacher, “It is lovely to see all of your lovely faces!”
