The Scorpie-Booble

The Scorpie-Booble

The Scorpie-Booble is an outstanding specimen of insect which has been studied by scientists for over a century. But would you even recognise this interesting creature? Read on and maybe you’ll find out in this fascinating report.

Appearance

Like most insects the Scorpie-Booble can reach the length of nine centimetres and a width of 6cm.However, do not fall for its cuteness for this creature may be small but is one of the mightiest invertebrates known to the planet we call Earth. This species is well known for their well patterned body’s that contains patterns such as stars, polka dots to even the secrets of the universe. The insect is also equipped with a bright lure and scorpion like legs. It also possesses a fluffy head which is so soft if you sat on one it would lead you into a deep, deep sleep.

The Scorpie-Booble can fit over three cows in its mouth, but it normally does only eat other small creators such as the Night-crawler and the Blood beetle etc. However, it normally the deliquesce known as humans’ happiness!

Habitat

Alarmingly, the Scorpie-Booble normally finds comfort in human hair especially dirty hair, so I suggest that you keep clean. It is also rarely found in coral reefs as this is the best place for them to lay their eggs.

My Enchanted Box of Senses

I would take the sound of

the final puzzle piece snapping into place after working tirelessly on it,

maybe the sound of a fire crackling like leftovers in the microwave,

I might even take the precious sound of an owl hooting at night

Or its wings sawing through the jet-black sky.

I would capture the amazing aroma of

cold milk and Weetabix on a nice spring morning,

my dad’s lasagne as he pulls it out of the oven,

or the familiar scent of the air after it rains.

I would capture the amazing tastes of

freshly baked cookies with a nice gooey centre,

the fabulous cheesy taste of my dad’s lasagne,

or the precious taste of chocolate eggs from easter,

which surprisingly taste better after you’ve found them in your garden.

I would take the feel of

snow crunching in my hands,

the feeling of my hands rushing past me in the sea

or the familiar feeling of a conker in your palm.

Chapter four

End of Chapter 3

Emily’s gasp was then followed by another disturbing slurping sound and the horror of a large slimy creature heading towards her. She saw the door and immediately bolted towards it, she: climbed down the rope ladder, landing on the ground with a loud painful thump, tore through the trees, finally reaching the crimson door. She ran in and was met by a wall to her head. Black out.

Chapter four-What a day!

Emily’s eyes slowly drifted open.

“What, what happened.”

Puzzled by her fuzzy memories, Emily slightly tilted herself in some sort of bed and started to get comfortable but was then suddenly alarmed by the same dusty shop keeper.

Tapping his fingers on his lap impatiently, the man sighed,” Your youth these days, just sooo juvenile.”

“What, juvenile, are you joking right now, pfffff I think the word you’re looking for is curious Mr … well, whatever your name is!”

“It’s Potts, Mr Potts,” he said serenely,” And I think maybe you should be going Miz Emily.

“What, how do you know my name?” Emily spluttered out.

“That is for me to know and for you to find out child,” he said sitting as straight as a meerkat.

Emily felt a small lump forming in her throat and decided to hop out of the bed and head home but what was surprising at her departure was that her bike, which had caused this whole dilemma, was now magically fixed and the shopkeeper had now disappeared from the window. And now a small barn owl was following her.  What a day!

Chapter 3-Never trust Fairy cakes

Chapter 3- Never trust Fairy cakes

There were so many great things in Emily’s sun kissed world but the first thing she wanted to do was explore the largest tree house she could find, she sprinted towards the trees and bolted up a rope ladder. At her first glance of the treehouse, she saw: mahogany chairs, cosy wooden lamps; even a comfy living room. Emily was overjoyed, one minute she had been in wet soggy Preston and now she was in a sunny wonderland. But then, Emily’s thoughts were interrupted by a disturbing sound. What was that? she said to herself. She crept into the next room cautiously, as if she slowly treading her feet in treacle. To her surprise, Emily walked into an innocent looking plate of iced fairy cakes, which seemed ‘ok’. She crept closer, her hand slowly lurching towards the one with the most icing, right before she could, her muddy hands on one all the fairy cakes disintegrated leaving behind a …SKULL. She ran in and was met by a plump belly to her head. Black out.

Chapter 2- What’s that room?

Chapter 2- What’s that room?

Emily’s fiery temper was starting to kick in now, so she spat out all her fury.

“Look Mr, I just wanted to look around!” she yelled fiercely.

The dusty man gave in and simply said, “Fine have a look but stay away from that book.”

The shop owner then walked off into another dimly lit room. What was this place? And why had Emily only noticed it now? She ran her rather petite fingers across all the objects, she even tried to play a funny looking instrument that seemed to be a saxophone of some sort. While examining another half of the room, Emily noticed a faint glow coming from the ‘Forbidden book’. It was as if it was calling to her and every single instinct in her body was telling her to go and have a look and Emily being the curious little girl she was, she went over and flicked the cover over.

After what seemed to be only a milli-second, Emily had drawn a whole world inside the book a world filled with foxes and towering trees of all shapes and colours. Since she had finished, she wandered around the Emporium and found a room with a light crimson door. She could swear that she could hear a slight woofing sound coming from the other side of the door. She slowly crept through only to be amazed be ginormous trees that seem to tower over the sun. Through those trees were lines of gorgeous meadows filled with soft and cuddly creatures, then through those meadows were rows and rows and rows of woods with small but noticeable tree houses in them and finally at the end of all those perfectly a lined meadows and treehouses was a crystal blue lake that shimmered in the sunlight. This world was Emily’s and she absolutely adored it.

The Wonder Emporium

Kaly had always been a shy girl and her mother had always told her not to wander off into other people’s houses. One rainy afternoon, she was walking down Sunny Road when the strong wind blew the emporium door open! Slowly, Kaly stepped inside.

She looked all around the shop and saw lots of wonderful things. She saw everyone’s favourite sour sweets in packets on shelves, the most popular toys and a giant strawberry flavoured sour patch kid. There were stars on the ceiling and it smelled like pizza. Kaly could hear chopping sounds. On a shelf Kaly saw a large pink book. It was old and shiny and decorated with butterflies and sunshines. When she picked it up a man was stood behind her and he tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and the man screamed “hey put that down now!”. The old man had a grey beard and he walked with a hunched back and used a walking stick. He had a fluffy red squirrel on his shoulder.

The Enchanted Emporium

The Enchanted Emporium

Prologue

There are some memories that just aren’t remembered or can’t be remembered. The Enchanted Emporium is one of those memories. Where you’ll only remember if you’re really trying your hardest not to think of anything at all and that’s exactly what Emily was doing on her peculiar Sunday morning when she ‘found’ The Enchanted Emporium… or did the Enchanted Emporium find her. No-one had ever stepped foot in the emporium since… The Incident.

Although the Russian dolls in the window seemed as though they were whispering to your very soul. Although the glittering shop name could catch you in a trance. Although the smell of cheesy lasagne or the ocean drifted into your curious nose as you walk past. No one wished to enter. All those except Emily.

Chapter 1- Into the Emporium

Emily was always quite adventurous, everyone around her knew it. But sometimes being adventurous can get you into some trouble. Emily was exploring the left side of village with her mate Ben. They rode on their bikes all over, under the bridge, on the bridge sometimes even over the bridge. But… the hill they normally rode down was a bit slippery after last night’s heavy rain and… let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.

“Why didn’t you hit the brakes, Ben!” Emily shrieked, annoyed that she had now popped a tyre on her bike.

“Ow I’ve hurt me knee,” Ben whined. “Emily, Emily what are you starring at!”

“What’s that place?” Emily said gazing upon The Enchanted Emporium.

“We shouldn’t go their Em,” Ben said.

Emily got up and said, “Don’t be such a wuss, come on, we can go get me a new tyre.”

Ben then got up picked up his bike and limped off.

“Pff, so dramatic,” Emily she said annoyed. She leaned her bike against the shimmering gates and stepped inside.

As soon as she walked inside, she smelt the powerful aromas of floor cleaner and sweet honey. She could see amazing colours and objects all around her. She watched in awe at complicated train sets circling all over the room, puppets dancing in unison and finely intricately cut masks on the walls, but what caught Emily’s attention most was an ancient looking leather book with a picture of a sun moon silhouette. Something Emily had never laid her eyes on before but somehow seemed familiar. She stroked the leather cautiously and went to open it, but was suddenly interrupted by an eerie voice.

“Who are you? What are doing here? Did you not see the sign, we’re CLOSED!” an old dusty man hissed.

For once in her life Emily was almost trembling in fear.

“Sorry Mr, but umm…the door was unlocked and well I just…I just wanted to find a tyre for mi bike.”

The man proceeded towards the leather book and snatched it. “Little girls like you shouldn’t be medalling with things you don’t understand,” his voice crackled. “Get out of my shop…NOW!”

“But mm m..m…my bi-,” Emily stuttered.

“Your bike will be fine, now leave,” he said, smoke lifting from his ears.

going to the Heavenly tree

Chapter 2 –

Slowly, Pip, Pud and Pod packed their bags and got ready to travel to Heavenly tree house. They Checked the map and headed towards their location.

Hopping through the dark, gloomy forest, the rabbits hadn’t seen the Gorm following them.

It started snowing so they quickly ran towards the tree house.

outside, the rabbits covered up their paw prints. Inside the tree house they could hide and feel safe.

The doors of doors

Go and open the cedar door,

Maybe there is-

An ensemble of violins playing a sweet lullaby at you,

Two bear cubs playing happily perhaps

Or conkers clicking vigorously in perfect sink.

Go and investigate the orange door,

There could possibly be Paddington bear enjoying a scrumptious marmalade sandwich

A fox playing with a basketball

Or an ochre flame dancing wildly

Go and open the crepe door,

Smell the sweet aromas of cotton candy and tulips

And feast your eyes on piglets and flamingos

Or enjoy a feast of ham, pink macaroons and a salty treat of salmon chips.

Go and explore the room with the red door,

Dance with poppy’s and listen too the sounds of fire engines

Or the sad whispers of lobsters that have been boiled alive.

Go and open the seafoam door

Camouflage with chameleons and swim with turtles

Or dance with a dianthus.
