Dear Mum,

Thanks for my hand warmers, they kept me really warm. After what seemed like century’s, we arrived in Oakridge its a small village with a very little amount of people there.

 

Once we arrived there, loads and loads of people came and picked what children they wanted. Me and Jack stayed together so we could go with the same people.

When we got there, Mrs hill and Mr Hill had hexagonal chess so me and Jack played that (and I won of course) even though he best me in the second round. Bored, me and Jack went and read The Grapes of Wrath.

Me and Jack have our own beds in the attic. They are very big and comfy. I always pray for you and Dad before bed. I wake up to the sound of a cockerel  Mrs Hill lets me collect the eggs and Jack collects the vegetables then we both wash them. For breakfast we have Boiled eggs and yoghurt.

The Boat of Darkness

Silently people explored the boat.
if you stop and hear,

the people silently talk

of the dark boat.

Stomping loud feet

wooden planks everywhere,

dust all over the place

and waves crashing on the boat,

 

the bright full moon lit moon

people snoring loudly

and lightning striking the water.

As the lightning strikes like hard rain

the boat rocks side to side

and people wake up,

 

as the captain controls the boat,

as the lightning runs away

and the sail rocking about.

 

A Rainbow of Masks

I wore the red mask and saw

a red and orange cracking fire,

the sky was grey

and there was a man sitting by the fire.

I wore the green mask and heard

someone cooking some broccoli,

and a man cutting the green grass

and frogs jumping in a pond.

I wore the yellow mask and smelt

butter being spread on toast,

someone eating corn

and the sun shining on me.

 

I wore the pink mask and felt

the sticky candy floss,

a slice of ham

and my skin.

Have you ever had  family day trips on a sky ship?In summer, you would have flown over the beach soaring high above the waves and across the warm seas.When you flew,there would have of been blue skies ,a soft breeze and that wonderful sense of of fish and chips.When you flew,there would of been the island below,fishing boats with there brightly coloured sails and even a school of dolphins.You probably got taken to one of the nearby islands and landed the ship so you could have a picnic.Travelling by skyship in the summer is like that.

 

But travelling on an expedition to unknown lands is another matter.You should try a skyship journey when the  hailstones smash windows,the thunder roars at you and the sky is broken apart by jagged lightning.You should try being there when sky orgas atack,scrambelling across the hull ready to dig there poisonous claws into your skin or worse tear the skyships inflatable apart. You should try being there when the food runs out and there is not even a drop of water in the barrels.Few people would wish that on anyone.Even experienced flyers think twice about travelling east over the distant lands.No one knows what creatures might live there.Rumor has it that there are giant goblins,stone giants and cave- dragons.Few would wish to encounter with a forest troll…and most say,that the rumores are for a good reason.

 

Chapter 1

 

The crowds cheered as the sky ship,Aurora, rose up into the air and 

hovered for a moment as the great engine roared into life.Captain Copperpot stood at the steering wheel.His face determined and filled with excitement.They were off!

 

Tom and Lucy gazed down as the sky ship Aurora rose into the clouds watching the crowd slowly turn into little ants.The Aurora sailed over many cities seeing many wonderful things :big lakes which are now little ponds and trees that now look like broccoli.

 

Tom and Lucy could feel the breeze rush through their hair.They could still hear and see the crowds cheer and wave good luck.Tom and and lucy both looked at each other they both smiled on the outside but on the inside they were worried and scared.

 

“Tom, do you think we will find Captain Nemo”?she said in hope.”We will have to see.”He also said in hope.Tom saw boats with big colourful sails that appeared to look like a big rainbow.

 

 The sky ship seems to be running out of coal and the propeller starts to spark but captain Copperpot see a island up ahead with houses and ancient castles and strange creatures. 

 

 CHAPTER 2

 

 Crew members running around the ship  looking for coal.The sky ship was screaming and shooting sparks.Woringly,the crew members saw that there was not even a crumb of coal left,they were slowly heading down.Evryone was frightened they were going to crash.

 

There it was,the island with the wrecked ship!Captain Copper Pot slowly laned the ship as it was still shooting sparks.sand surrounded them like a tornado as they set foot out of the ship.Random parts of the wrecked ship was scattered around the beach.

 

The crew lifted parts of the wrecked ship hoping they will find some sort of help hoping to find Captain Hook.But all they found was out-of date heinz beans and his eye patch.

 

The crew decided to separate and search the island.Finally,they found something to help!It was a hideout and clothes and other essentials.It looked like Captain Hook used parts from the sky ship.

 

Suddenly,a bush rustled and Captain Copper Pot went to look and he found a … 

 

CHAPTER 3

 

Found a pair of red gleaming eyes in the shadows.The par of eyes stepped out from the shadows WITH!The explorer.His clothes were ripped and torn and his face was filled with shock.

 

The pair of red cleaning eyes was a giant orga.The giant Orga spoke in a deep and dark voice”Your in danger ” .It said as it walked back into the jungles gloomy mysterious shadows. 

 

Sam and Arthur gathered everyone round the island.All the crew members were biting their nails because they were all scared of the unexpected message from the giant Orga.

 

Everyone was running to get to the ship as fast as they possibly could.The children rushed to tell captain Copperpot that they were in danger.Out of curiosity the Captain wanted to wait and see the stone giants;The crew wanted to sail away as quick as possible.Aurao had no choice but to stay as they had no coal.The crew prepared to fight.

 

CHAPTER 4

 

There they were standing there all ready for the brutal attack.Although they were confident they were still shivering in fear.

 

The deadly beast was making its way towards them quickly!Its red gleaming eyes made night turn into day as if they were big balls of fire.it was blowing scorching flames setting trees and bushes on fire.Its scaly skin sparkled and shimmered like a brand new diamond.

 

Its terrorising horns were piercing the skyships balloon.Sadly,the crew did no damage to the creature as its strong armour was plated with gold and silver.

 

Thankfully,Captain Copper Pot has a magical staff that will repel the terrible beast and vanish it for the world eternity.

 

Happily,all of the crew members were fixing the ship and patching up the balloon.

BUT that was not the end!

Dear Captain Harriet Culpepper,

 

I am writing to apply for a job on the skyship Aurora as a member of the crew for your next journey.I hope that you may give me a chance as I will bring many talents with me to help you on your journey.

 

I have gathered that your crew has organised a fleet of skyships to search for your lost crew member. I will love to help you on such an important adventure.

 

First of all,I have been friends with Arthur and Maudie Brightstorm for quite some years and they teach me how to use swords and bow and arrows, for I could help you fight dragons and other mighty beasts.

 

Furthermore,I have many previous experiences such as driving boats  and ships.So i could possibly steer the skyship i can also be very good at fixing things so then i can fix any skyship problems you have.

 

Secondly,my qualifications include GCSE in wood work and science so this might be very useful,on your skyship.Such as:a hole in the air balloon ;broken planks or smashed windows.

The Handbook will help you decide what equipment you’ll need for next adventure.It will also explain which creatures to avoid and what will help you.

Beware of ancient trials because there might be many ***** traps along the way.Although, the most obvious route is rarely the right one so i will always take the ancient trails.However,there are beanstalks along the way so be wary of falling giants.also there are many curses and mighty dragons.

 

E-H 

 

The energy position is a very dangerous as it can create big storms but i like the storms as it gets rid of all the fairies and the fairies get on my nerves.The goblins tok they always sneak up on you and take your stuff.Same with half horse and half men but they do not steal it the break it whenever they come in your house.

 

I-L   

 

Invisible bridge be careful as you don’t know if it is invisible or not,but the jaket of invisibility is handy. For example they will help you avoid:Night of shining armour;mighty dragons and falling giants.Although,you can use the levitation spell can help you with these unexpected falling giants.

 

M-P

 

Secret hideouts are very handy such as a Mushroom house there also useful because  when the never ending night comes all the demons and orgas come out to hunt. But you can fix all of it with a pouch of pixie dust.

Q-T 

 

Quest can involve curses but all you have to do to not get cursed is follow the raven point to the sword and then use the thunder spell to get rid of the trolls.

 

U-X

 

Unicorns are very annoying but if you really want to see a a unicorn just use the visitation spell using the wizard’s wand.you can also use the wizards wand to do x-ray vision.

 

Y-Z

 

Yuxa are mythical creatures that are snakes that can turn into a human. The only thing that kills these creatures are Zombies.
