Be observant

It doesn’t have to be a nose-tingling,golden crusted Philps pasty
Or an indescribable love-story at the minack that breaks the heart
Or the sky-blue sea where the waves crashing in and out for eternity.

It could be a pasty-thief,the ice cream-swoopers
Or a ghost-white fog covering the moors like a blanket
Or a jam-packed jubilee pool on an arid-like day.

Just be observant
Pick up that slimy seaweed
Shine it to the light………
You may just see something beautiful.

Eclipsed nature

It doesn’t have to be
the ancient granite stone of a ruined tin mine
or the sweet smell of Jelbert’s ice-cream melting in your mouth on a hot summer day
or the gigantic SPLASH! of you jumping of the towering sennen harbour wall.

It could be the
soft soothing lullaby of the fast-flowing river at trevaylor woods
or the deafening silence of a crisp early morning
or the beautiful blood orange sunset hiding below the whale-highway at sandy acres.

Just appreciate
the unusual-looking.
clouds transferring the warm light to the emerald green grass like a lightning conductor.

The unknown woodland

It doesn’t have to be
The delight of a plain New York cheesecake crumbling like cookies,
Or The sticky yellow nectar inside a beaming tiger lily,
Or The glorious taste of cunning Cornish pastry with steak and vegetables hidden inside.

It could be
The silence of racked and ruined WW2 bunkers in St. Just,
Or the raging rain dancing down,
Or deserted drift wood that’s just waiting to be carved into a special sculpture.

Just notice
The tiny specks of sea glass buried in the soft sand.
Pick them up and sieve them through your fingers,
Cherish them for the treasures they are.
