One morning, the rain poured heavily from the sky. It filled the gardens, the streets, and fields. Mrs Heather stood by the window, shaking her head. “It is like a flood!” she shouted.
But Serena couldn’t wait. She had to find Kia and save the monster.
Serena ran outside and was soaking wet and her boots were filled with water. She searched everywhere,
calling for Kai, but only the rain answered.
She knocked on Mrs Laila’s door. She Peeked out.“Don’t step on my clean floor”!
“Sorry, Mrs Laila. Have you seen Kai?” Serena asked.
Mrs Laila shook her head. “No,” she shouted and shut the door.
Serena stood by the church, cold and wet. Then, she had an idea! Maybe Kai had gone back to the monster?
Kai loved mysterious things.
And she was right! Kai was hiding in a bush, smiling. He’s my friend now!”
She said, giving Serena a hug.
Years passed by. Kai went to war and never came back home. But the monster stayed in the village for a long time. Then one day, he disappeared.
Serena never saw him again, but in her dreams, she still sees him—her old friend, playing together.
Serena loved the countryside. Every day in spring, she walked through the fields. The fields were full of bright colours of flowers. The wind in the tall corner blows like the clouds. It was beautiful and peaceful, it’s not like the city.
At night, Serena went to the woods to see the monster.They sat together, looking at the shooting stars and listening to the peaceful night. Sometimes, she ran off to catch some bugs.
Serena worried that someone might find the monster. In the day, he hid in the scariest part of the woods. At night, she explored the woods, but because he was the darkest and very quiet, he was hard to be seen.
One night, Serena heard a loud scream and a howl. She ran into the woods and saw the monster. He was showing her very sharp teeth, and ready to howl. A boy named Kai stood frozen with fright. “Stay still,” Serena whispered. She held a bug to calm the monster and Kai ran away.
Serena‘s heart pumped. Now, the secret was out. That night, she and Mrs.Heather talked. Maybe they could move the monster to a safer place.
Serena looked at the huge,
monster. His green eyes were dark like a cave. His sharp teeth were so sharp it could even eat her. His body was like a shadow. He looked at Serena.
“He likes you Serena,” said Mrs Heather as the monster was looking at her.
As they walked home,
Serena couldn’t believe it.
“She will be watching,” said Mrs Heather. “I found him when he was small, lost in the woods. Someone was trying to hunt him because he is a monster. I took him and kept it a secret. If Someone saw him, they might hurt him.
That night, Serena dreamed
About the huge monster, his eyes in darkness . He felt afraid but safe.
Every night, Serena brought him food. He learned to catch rabbits.
One night, he was rubbing against him and let her pat him.
Mrs Heather watched as the wild monster and the girl became friends. Their secret was special to them.
Dear Mother,
Thank you for everything you have done for me. I had thought about who would be my new family. We went to a town called Pallet town. It’s wonderful and quiet.
I am staying with Mrs Serena. The stone cottage is on top of the hill. We get water from a well in the farm. When I arrived, she gave me a welcome hug before I went in. She is funny and generous.
I sleep in a big room at the top of the house where I can see trees. At night, when I go to sleep I look out of the window.
My job is to look out for the animals in the farm. It is quiet here.
I go to a small school near my house. I am learning to write neatly and count to one hundred. We eat lunch inside. Mrs Serena gives me sandwiches, and I play games with my new friends, like skipping on the rope.

Laila, Robert, and Kite crept to the airship and saw the professor holding a wooden box on board. They followed him and he dropped the box and Lalia Robert and Kite found the special designs inside the box. The professor spotted them and ran after them and he was cross and angry. Laila quickly ran with the box and they jumped through the exit door.
Down below, they found David Sky tied up. Laila set him free and he took control of the airship. He said they would report the evidence to the police and would show that the professor was the thief.As the airship flew over fields and villages, snowflakes started falling. Laila was very happy to be to be with her father again. Kite had a long trip so he took a nap.
