What am I?

You are a fox hunting your prey.

You are a curios starfish laying on a rusty rock.

You are a lazy turtle chomping on lettuce.

You are a mimicking parrot chattering around.

What can I be…the a b c.

You could be an awesome architect,

Or a brutal battle strategist,

A captured captain,

Or a demon dentist.

An epic explorer,

Or even a fictional financer!

You could be a gentle gardener,

Or a horrible hairdresser.

An ideal icer,

Or a jumpy janitor.

You could be a killer kayak instructor,

Maybe a Leaping lord.

A monstrous maniac,

Or a naive nanny?

You can be anything,

Like an obnoxious office administrator.

A putrid postman,

Why not a quoting Queen?

Something like a railway guard might suit me well,

Or a super sailor, now that would be swell.

I might be a terrible teacher,

Or an ugly umpire,

Or I might just sit next to a cosy fire.

I could be a vain van driver,

Or a wonderful waiter,

An X ray technician, or even a diver.

I know, a yearly yachtsman,

Or a zany zookeeper.

I can be whatever I want,

But I don’t think I like this font…

You are

You are a megladon ,emerging from the deep water.

You are Mount Everest, as frozen as frost bite.

You are a bench glistening with Frost ,waiting to be sat on .

You are a snuffly warm little rabbit, curled up in the beautiful sunshine.

You are a little white dog, with a patch on your eye ,jumping about in heaven .

You are a pig squealing ,stood in the wet soggy mud.

You are a saturday morning, lazy and opening your eyes with a smile.

In The Mirror

In the mirror I saw,

an apple jumping like a kangaroo,

an elf inside a house and

a football in a hat.

In the mirror I heard,

a coconut go bang,

jelly shaking and

octopuses’ splashing.

Nightmares by Will Gibson

Jeremy woke up with a startclenching his bed covers as he caught his breath. Panting like a dog, he carefully tiptoed down the stairs and made his way into the kitchen where he made a lovely warm cup of hot-chocolate. He was just about to make his way back upstairs again when three loud thuds came from the door. THUD THUD THUD! His heart jumped into his throat. What should he do? It came again, even louder this time THUD THUD THUD!! Jeremy had no choice but to open it. He slowly unlocked the white wooden door. When it flung open no one was there. Jeremy peered cautiously around the corner just to double check when, SLAM! The door shut closed and a slender dark figure stood in front of it. Without thinking, Jeremy ran. The figure following behind. As fast as he could, he rushed into the woods, branches whipping, thorns slicing. He knew he hadn’t lost him and he was tiring himself out. Galloping could be heard from behind. He was just about to give up when, silence. No bird twittered, no branch snapped, just silence. Jeremy was safe, or so he thought. Walking back home through the nettle infested bushes a young girl lay on the floor. She was as pale as snow and as cold as ice. All of a sudden, lightning whipped the earth and the clock struck twelve. Leaves crackled. Jeremy knew death awaited.

Gloomy Graveyard by William

The gloomy graveyard was full of thick, dark mist as the black sky above swarmed the area. James had no other choice but to enter the graveyard, he opened the old creaky gate every sound made him jump out of his skin. Step by step he slowly walked along the narrow path. Suddenly a squirrel jumped from the bushes and landed on James’s leg. He screamed “Aaaaaaaah! Help they’ve got me”. No one came. He lay there on the floor petrified, after a minute he realised what had actually just happened to him. Little did he know his nightmares were about to become a reality. He calmed down and then started to walk again even more cautiously than before. A small growl came from a distance, James stopped. He couldn’t move. The sound turned into a crack and a scream, soon the sounds would turn into the horror national anthem. A disgusting smell wafted up his nose. He wanted to turn around but he knew he shouldn’t, he couldn’t resist it. That very moment was the last of his life.

A Safe Place

Outside, the moon shone through the grey and black clouds as thunder crashed between them. Inside the abandoned house, a ghostly figure passed the windows, wearing what looked like a wedding dress. Will smith pulled his hood up over his cold head as rain started to fall, he shivered. Fog surrounded the house, rain walked across the roof as lightening stomped its feet. The wooden house creaked, ‘you won’t be safe here.’ But a safe place was what Will Smith wanted.
