The Countryside
You are a horse gracefully
galloping through the long field
whining to his friends in the neighbouring field,
you are a cute bird sweetly singing in the crisp morning air,
you are a cow mooing to the farmer about to feed you,
you are the young child snuggling down watching
the dancing flames of a cosy fire,
you are the fluttering snow flakes landing softly on the ground,
you are the strong aroma of manure lingering in the air,
you are the sweet scent of freshly baked cakes,
you are the roar of a tractor powering up a hill,
you are the crunching leaves under the feet of a fellow walker,
you are a inquisitive squirrel twirling up a tree hunting for nuts,
you are the adorable lambs happily skipping around the field
