The Old Bike by Lily
The bike leans against the old birch tree like it’s his only hope.
A cobweb spins around the seat like a guard not moving an inch.
It’s stone guardian perched on the rusty light after dancing, she taps the old bike and sleeps.
It’s worn out springs puffing for air not bouncing any more, they want to rest.
The lonely, old bike waiting to be ridden once more.
