The Venus Fly Trap

The Venus fly trap awaits for its next victim,
The Venus fly trap rests waiting for its pray,
It rocks in the wind while the humming birds fly by.

Its pointy teeth point out of its mouth,
In a sign of anger.

Its stem stands tall,
in the wind like a soldier reporting for duty.
Its roots squiggle and squirm trying to escape.
