autumn leaves flutter

in a trance of golden sunlight

swirling over hoods

pumpkins line the street

spooky faces lighting up

in dark October

costumes of witches

pirates fairies and knights

ready for night time

smells of pumpkin pie

brown conkers and roast chestnuts

toffee apples too

decorations hang

ready for trick or treaters

excitement buzzing

bonfires are lit

fireworks like bright stardust

a pale moon in the sky

cottage in the woods

golden leaves surrounding it

a calm and gentle breeze
