Station KERPOW Story Opening – Maggie SWW
Morning seeped into the chilly air. The Station lay unnoticed at the back of the woods. Kat was playing hide-and-seek mischievously in the trees with her younger brother, when she stumbled across the old entrance. Being the curious, adventure-seeking girl she was, she couldn’t resist investigating. She gave up seeking and trudged through the fallen leaves into the abandoned train station. To her left, was the empty reception desk, and straight ahead was the platform. Along she went. The tracks were rusted and blanketed in moss; they obviously hadn’t been used in years. Kat wondered whether anyone had been here since the tragic ‘Southside Train Crash’ accident that she had learned about at school. All of a sudden, a faint whistling noise sounded from the East. Without warning, Kat was blasted off her feet, as a transparent carriage chugged by.
Really like the adjectives and the adverb mischievously is a fantastic addition to the story
