The Castle in the woods by Jake SWW
The wind howled, the trees rustled and far into the woods where no one ever went,a castle peered from the darkness his parents had told him never to go there but the temptation took him over.
Outside, mist scuttled through open doorways a shatter of glass hissed as he turned. His heart pounded. The charcoal black, cold atmosphere seeped through windows a smoky shadow crawled on the concrete and glistened in the moonlight but what was it?. Again, footsteps reverberated and thudded against walls.
Everything fell silent, it was as if the world had fallen asleep. The rattling continued again and he had no choice but to see what it was. Beside the building, there was an entrance a strange one that appeared from nowhere and just as she thought the noise was coming from it. Walking inside, it seemed to be way darker than the forest itself. At that moment, the clouds slid to a side revealing moonlight that shone down like a lamp showing a lizard munching on multiple flies.
great job I liked the part when you said The wind howled, the trees rustled and far into the woods where no one ever went, a castle peered from the darkness his parents had told him never to go there but the temptation took him over.
