Who are you

You are an elegant statue

Positioned in the middle of the room

For the centre of attention

Cameras flashing simultaneously

You are a vegetarian pizza

Covered in vegetables

Hated by vegetable-despising children

Loved by animal-adorers

You are in the life of a kitten

Lapping on cold milk

Protected by your caring mother

You are a light bulb

Lighting up the room whenever your in it

Brightest thing within the room

  1. Hi Fahra, your line, “hated by vegetable-despising children” made me laugh out loud. Thank you for adding your poem to TeachingLive. Just one thing, I’m sure you know the difference between your and you’re. Do check your writing carefully.
