appreciate everything ,

whether it’s a stone skimming across the water for a century,

or that leaf that you saw detach from its tree first,

or that single teddy you loved when you were one ,

appreciate everything,

because you see,

we never had these beloved things ,

thousands of years ago,

there was war waged,

slaves, hostages and trickery,

there was the war of the roses,

a war between the Saxons and the Vikings,

or the atomic bomb,

thousands of lives taken ,

but also we had hero’s,

those brave English that defended us,

they died so we could live our lives happily,

they came in any shape or form,

from dog to bird,

from horse to human,

they all defended us,

so now you see,

that even if its the smallest thing,

appreciate everything,
