the leaping lion
The leaping lion prowls,
Slinking through the tall grass.
Its golden mane swirls in the night sky,
Catching the wind like a tumbleweed in a desert.
Eyes like black holes bore into the mind,
Destroying its enemy’s soul.
Dagger like claws pierce into the Earth,
Securing its position,
Ready to fight.
Powerful legs pound the ground,
Propelling the lion like a car in a race.
Teeth as strong as diamonds crush its prey,
And machine-like gums feast with delight.
The leaping lion owns the desert…
I love how you described the lion and what it did. What made you think to write this poem? You can say what it has attacked in more detail.
yes May I suggest
teeth as strong as diamonds crush it’s tasteful, icky prey
Mabey?
I loved this poem very much and enjoyed picturing this character in my head
