The Dragon
The dragon turns its head
and notices me
His beady eyes
shine like bright stars in the pitch black sky
Terrible, huge jaws
open to reveal
sharp thorny teeth
covered in drool
and a rough slimy tongue
Bubbly, leathery skin
and bumpy patterned scales
cover the body
A pointy rough spine
is poking from inside him
Sharp as a shark tooth
talons keep him on the ground
Scratchy, pointy claws
dig into the surface he is standing on
A long, prickly tail
rests on the floor
Suddenly his big scaly wings
lift him off the ground
leaving mystery and fear in my heart
