Sky Ship – Poppy H EPPSA

You have probably been on a sky ship on a cold winters day with snow thundering down like a gigantic waterfall. Remember how you leaned out of the window to catch snowflakes on your tongue? I bet you’ve enjoyed the sights of tiny snowy mountains below you.  You should go on a sky ship on a hot summer’s day with a gentle breeze. When the sun shines down onto the sky ship it makes the perfect temperature to relax on the deck. Some say that they have seen sky goblins and dragons. You might not believe this, but some say that they have seen outlines of 5 dragons staring down at them!

Chapter1

Alfie and his twin sister Alice had seen how dangerous some sky ship adventures have been. They hoped that their first sky ship adventure would be smooth even though it was snowing like mad. It had been snowing for weeks now and the sky ship had been kept under cover until the adventure that would be happening today. Later on today the sky ship would be starting up to explore goblin island, it would be carrying 54 people including Alfie and Alice.

The snow was still coming down like crazy and the ship was already sailing upwards more and more into the blizzard. Alfie and Alice were huddled up together trying to catch snowflakes on their tongue. Suddenly the snow stopped, and a huge creature flew after the sky ship as if it were a toy. At that moment a group of dragons appeared at the front of the ship. It swirled it into a spin heading towards the ocean below them.

It started to sink wildly as the dragon bit into the big balloon which made the ship float.

“Captain,” Alice called, “We’re sinking!”

But the captain was hanging onto the ropes, so Alice knew what had to be done.
