The little and beautiful dragon hatched out of the egg, everyone argued if they should leave the dragon outside of the ship but then it would probably die. Should they instead keep it on the ship? However then when it would grew up it could maybe try and eat them! They argued so loud that I closed my ears. at the end they decided keep the dragon.

Great use of a question to interest the reader and build suspense. Perhaps you could build it even more by describing what your characters could hear or smell?
