Crash landing

Next thing she felt the warm daylight on her cheeks; she was safe.

‘There’s no time for relaxing; the she’s going down.” Shouted the captain.

Joan realised he was right, she embraced for impact.

They had landed and the damage was done. ‘Where are we?” Asked Joan

No one answered, no one knew.

Joan looked around and saw a dense forest surrounding them like a prison

cell. And trees as tall as skyscrapers banishing the idea of flying out, that was if the ship was still functioning.

Captain Jolly sat on a slab of volcanic rock examining the injuries to his beloved sky ship. Silence. He finally spoke “You three with start making a clearing.” “The rest of you make yourselves useful and start searching for supplies to repair the damage.”

“What about me captain.” Asked Joan.

“Stay by the ship and keep watch.”

“But.”

“No buts, that’s the most important job.”

“No it’s not, it’s rubbish.”

A few minutes later all the crew had disappeared out of sight and Joan was left alone. Just then something caught the corner of her eye.

One Response to “Crash landing”

  1. This has a good story to it, but there’s a lot of missing lines, and you repeated the same phrase, but the phrase is fairly good, something like “the warm daylight on her cheeks.”
