Flickering flames started to spread. Kara, whose face was as pale as ash, grabbed he brother and hauled him to the ground, protecting him from the fire. At that moment, a crackling roar echoed and a small, worried figure ran through the maze of fire realising every direction lead to a dead end.
“It’s a baby lion!” shouted Leo excited by the sight and desperate to stroke it.
Quickly, Kara jogged to where Leo was, praying that it true and to her surprise, there in front of her stood a lion cub. “Lets go!”

Beside the star stepper, the fire began to grow. Kara held her brothers hand, wrapped her top over her mouth and walked into the cloud of smoke. Black coal splattered on her face as she felt for the creature. “I got it,” she yelled relieved and slightly proud of herself. Finally, she brought the creature out amazed that Leo was ok and still by her side. The lion cub placed his bleeding paw onto Kara’s hand and smiled. They all giggled and began to dry the wound hoping the crew would be pleased.
