Everyone in the town of Buxton has been focusing on the hot topic of should mermaids live in the local lake there are people for and against. So, we will tell you the news.

For side of should mermaids to live in the lakes.

People have protested that they should be allowed to live in lake because they are doing no one any harm and that they are not hurting any living animals in the lakes so why are they should they not be allowed. People have been spectating the water to see if any fish or animals have risen to the top of the water just in case, they are harmful and they are killing fish, but nothing has happened...They are doing this because they need a point that they are harmless. Tails have been whipped on top of the water residents are excited to see the faces of them when they tell them they can be there.

Against having mermaids in the lakes.

Residents have said that they are petrified to have them in the ponds because they can be a menace. They have said that mermaids are perfidious, and they should not be able to come close to the locals are continuing to fight for the mermaid species to be illegal. Buxton’s residents have stated “If they are somehow allowed to move into the lakes me and my family will never come to the country side again! “This week this protest will keep on going.

On the other hand, I think we should let mermaids live in our lakes because they are causing no harm and they are a very well-known mythical creature so they could make more of an attraction to this small town (apart from there famous water). We would like to re visit this when we have the verdict.
