I have never tamed a fierce lion in the depths of  the savannah,

but I have trained a cute puppy with soft, soothing fur persuading me with its doggy eyes.

I have never climbed the towering, monstrous Everest,

but I have made my way up the local clip n’ climb.

I have never tasted the house special at a 5 star restaurant,

but I  have felt the sensation of the salty, delightful aftertaste from fishnets.

I have never watched Newcastle win the UEFA Champions League final in front of millions,

but I have seen them win the championship.

I have never walked across Hadrian’s wall in the dead of night, from one end to the other,

but I have walked through Chopwell woods.

I have never finished a whole book,

but I have finished this poem.
