I would take… poem by Eve
I would take-
the everlasting life power from a phoenix to live forever,
the remaining core of pluto as a gift from God
and a well, full of forgotten wishes that screamed for help.
I would take the sound of
water from a mountain and store it in a bottle until I need it,
the sound of rain bouncing off of a school roof
and the waves of the ocean crashing against the rocks of the shore.
I would take the smell of
a cocoa coloured candle that called me,
fields of fresh mown grass on a summers morning
and freshly picked flowers from a shop.
I would take the taste of
bubble-gum candy floss as fluffy as clouds,
freshly poured iced-coffee swirling around in a cup
and the crunch of a rice-crispy treat with a gooey filling.
I would take-
a tunnel to disappear into thin air and travel to an unknown land,
a ladder to climb to the top of the Angel of the North
and the siren of a police car calling for attention.
This is really good I love how you described all these objects well done.
