opposites attract poem
What is delicious? Donuts fresh from Krispy Kreme, strawberries picked fresh from the orchard on comb lane and squishy toasted marshmallows sandwiched between the chocolate biscuits from the corner store.
What is disgusting? Brussel sprouts covered in chilly powder, mashed up bananas in gravy and chocolate covered bugs found in Fish Ponds Wood not far from my house.
What is ferocious? A lion glaring at you from its cage in the zoo, the stare your mother gives you when she asks to see your report card and an eagle circling the sky searching for its prey.
What is gentle? My pet dog when I come home after school or a long walk, a small mouse I found hiding in cupboard under the stairs and a balloon floating off into the sky making peace with the clouds above.
What is beautiful? The sound of the booming sea in Norfolk, the birds singing their harmonic song in your ear making you hum along and the bright stars decorating the dark sky.
What is ugly? My face after I put my Halloween make up on, a potato with all of its knobbly spiky skin and my sisters face after letting me do her make up.
