Rhys Treasure Poem
I WOULD TAKE
The smell of toasted marshmallows fresh from the fire.
The smell of crispy bacon.
The smell of newly cut grass from a field in Summer.
I WOULD TAKE
The taste of brownies magically homemade.
The taste of pizza from the red panda union.
The 24karat gold cheese toastie that is mouth-watering at the thought.
I WOULD TAKE
The calmness of a cherry blossom tree.
The hunger of a fly trap.
The protection of a cactus as prickly as a bee’s stinger.
I WOULD TAKE
The happiness of sadness and the sadness of happiness.
The joys of life and the hatred of hate.
The envy of fear and the fear of envy.
I WOULD TAKE
The colourfulness of geodes.
The fascination of bismuth.
The toxicity of crocidolite.
