Question Poem

What are hot?

Volcanoes erupting rage of rust red iron melted, sooty coffee like coal and fury being found in the face of a befriended friendship.

What are cold?

Neptune in a freezer, a polar bear living on vanilla ice cream like an iceberg in the side of sad seas and the slap of rejection and tear of blues

What are heavy?

A pewter elephant stomping in the juniper jungle, the BT tower as monstrous as a skyscraper and a tall ancient weeping willow.

What are light?

The tear thief tiptoeing to collect types of tears as bright as a light in a silk sack as soft as a frail feather, an angel flying to the blinding brightness behind the gates of heaven rising to its new land of kind souls.

What are fragile?

An ancestor’s ashes in a priceless glass varse swiftly smashing on the floor, a friendship fadingly falling apart and a harp’s first sound.

What are strong?

A taste of dusky double choca mocha in a sturdy morning mug, a belief in god that won’t break a promise and a whiff of loving lavender.
