The Everywhere Emporium
The Everywhere Emporium
The Everywhere Emporium Proluoge
There are some places that are always packed with people. Other places almost always empty. That’s the Everwhere Emporium. Empty.
Even though this shop was almost always clear. The only part of the shop that was always crowded was the window display. The owner of The Everywhere Emporium liked to make the window display eye-catching and inviting. Everybody had an urge to step through the doorway. But no-one ever did. Thier fear got the better of them all. It only made a statement when the window display changed. The toys would seem to be alive and would beckon you in to save them.
No-one ever went on to save them until August.
Chapter One- Through the door
August’s curiosity had always pulled her in the most dangerous of places. Her mother warned her that her curiosity would get her in trouble, and she was right. There was always a man sitting on his wooden rocking chair outside the door with his his pet cockapoo. No-one ever dared to ask if they could enter the shop, everyone was to scared. But for once, there was no man. There was only an open door. And without really thinking about what might happen… she stepped through the doorway. The main room was a marvel alone. Everywhere you looked there was something decorating the once bare walls. The first sight to see was a wall with three doors spread equally across it. And yet again her curious mind got the better of her. Cautiously, she crept across to the first door and lightly turned the knob. Pushing the door open was a challenge as it was too heavy and dark. But she managed. To her surprise there was nothing but a single spotlight showering the brightness over a crumpeld cardboard box. She lifted the lid to reveal an old leather bound book.
“I see you found my Book of Secrets.” hissed a deep, shadowed voice.
“Yes.. er…sorry if I disturbed you I just saw the door open and came to explore.” She replied slightly threatened by the horrible groan in his voice.
