Prologue- Chapter 1 The Sacrificed Emporium by Jess
Prologue- The Sacrificed Emporium
The Sacrificed Emporium has never had any visitors for as long as anyone can remember. It’s all due to the name.
Even when the crimson bricks lit up in the moonlight. Even when costumed people positioned themselves in front of it and acted like its great inside, just to help the man who owned it. Even when people stared at the heavy black door, no-one entered. Everyone thought it was a dismal place that had no guests. Yes no guests, at least not until Polly…
Chapter 1- Entering Places
Polly’s friends had always told her that when she wasn’t doing her job, her curious ways could get her into trouble. She never listened to them though. Walking down Seaside Road Polly noticed that for once the doors to The Sacrificed Emporium were open. Polly was a cautious person so she was unsure weather or not to go inside. Polly then remembered that it was her Grandmothers birthday next week and that she loved vintage furniture so she entered The Sacrificed Emporium for the fist time. Crimson curtains lined the windows and a golden eagle shaped lectern stood in the middle of the shop front whilst medals and marvels stood still like statues on the windowsills. Polly’s long, ginger pigtails blew in the breeze as she entered the place. Dust and furniture scents climbed her nose. Footsteps could be heard and then a tall man with dusty grey hair and lightning coloured eyes walked through a passageway all of a sudden: ”well you must be our customer, welcome to the shop!” ”wow no-one’s ever been here before? I’m surprised at that, this place is great!” Polly replied with a huge smile across her face. ”mmmm hmmmm, the very first, now this book is called the book of mystic secrets. Whatever i write turns into a room.” Polly gasped and stared at him in shock.

Dear Jess
1.Great cliff hanger! I am intrigued to read more.
2.Is Polly based off anyone if so who.
3.In “Whatever I write turns into a room.” your I is lower case.
Thank you! I have wrote a chapter 2 so you can read it if you want to. Yes, my character is based on someone and it’s someone who I saw when I went on holiday. I’ll try to remember capital letters. I hope I don’t forget again!
Hi Jess! I think your work is fantastic make sure to check some sentences cause some don’t make some sense. Overall, this is a great piece of work
