chapter 3 The house
It was a pretty, stone house with plants in the garden and ivy growing up against the walls and round the windows. The door was unlooked and without really thinking about it, she opened the door and stepped inside, her heart beating as fast as a roller-coaster. The house had everything that you might need: a cosy bed and a wood fire burning brightly; a tiny kitchen with blue cups and plates and an old cooker; a movie room which was fit for five families; and an afternoon tea waiting to be eaten.
“Olla,’ called Kassie, wondering if anyone else was there. But she was met by no sound except from her little sister crying. She made her way to the lift and went to the first story. The lift opened up to a dark hallway were lights flickered. There was ten bedrooms. When Kassie and Lilly (Kassie’s baby sister) went into one of the bedrooms all the lights turned on. Once they had looked at all the luxurious bedrooms, they were all exactly the same – except from one. For a moment, she wondered if she was in a mix of a nightmare and a good dream. Then, she went back into the bedroom that was different and there was a man sitting the bed.
Next Kassie found the art room and painted a picture. Then, she throw her drawing into wishing well and it didn’t seem as if that was going to come true. After she did that, she looked all over the house, but she couldn’t find the man again.
