Trapped in mysteries – chapter 3

The door creaked open , revealing the sweet , warm smell of freshly cooked bread . “Hello.” Amelia whistled . The only noise that came was  the long lasting silence . She trembled in , cautious of her surroundings . Someone or something darted across the corner of the room , making Amelia stumble to her hands and knees , making her hand ooz a tone of wine red blood . In shock , she wiped it all down her lacy pink tunic smearing it everywhere . “UGH!” She stomped like a giant troll on the floorboard shaking the house in every direction possible .

Amelia glared at the stairs in confusion . Something wasn’t right , not at all she sensed something watching her  , but didn’t know who or what or even why . Trickles of water came from the tap, each one making a bang. She pulled herself toward the staircase . The wood was as old and as moldy as a World War One Anderson shelter but , at the same time it was beautiful as it had flowers entwining the banister with a variety of colours . Step by step , heartbeat but heart beat she finally made it up…

It was a dark , gloomy room filled with cobwebs and dust  , all filling her lungs .

“Amelia , don’t be afraid . I’m here to help you.”

“ Leave me alone NOW!”

“Come further into the dark.”

“NO!” As quick as a flash , Amelia darted down the stairs screaming at the top of her lungs , hoping that someone or something would hear her and help . She was out of the door running to the door . To the door that wasn’t there . She couldn’t stop when something was coming for her . She kept running onto the grass over hills and rivers but she knew she couldn’t stop.

The sun had set and the grass kept getting longer and longer and longer until it was above eye view . She tried to turn back but there was no entrance . She was trapped . Amelia fell to the floor in a flood of tears  , head in her hands  , eyes red like a rose . What was she going to do? She was trapped…
