Chapter 3
Tanith stepped through the door and all of a sudden the world was spinning and she was falling. She finally landed and although the ground was hard she seemed to be unharmed.she looked around. It looked like a hospital:bright white lights, doctors hurrying down corridors and babies crying. Then the lights dimmed, the doctors disappeared and the babies stopped crying.
She cautiously walked down the corridor,”Hello”she called.no response.she carried on,trembling. All of a sudden she heard a loud bang.she whirled towards the noise. She heard it again. She went towards the noise.Tanith burst into the room, hoping to catch whoever it was off guard.but all she saw was a tray of hospital equipment scattered across the floor.”Who’s there” she whispered, she cleared her throat”Who’s there?”she shouted. She listened as her voice echoed through the empty hallways.
Tanith heard a faint breath. She turned sharply, nothing.Suddenly there was a deafening screech,so loud it made Tanith jump in shock.heavy footsteps ran down the corridors,Tanith spinning with every sound, each moment that passed the sound came closer and closer. She saw a figure in the corner of her eye.Slowly she turned.
She couldn’t believe what was in front of her:big red eyes, hunched back,on all fours, huge and bounding towards her.Tanith bolted out of the room, the beast at her heels.
Tanith raced through the hospital. The beast had fallen far behind. She ran to the steps, jumping over them. She landed nearly broke her ankle, bounced off the wall and stumbled.she heard the creature roar in frustration. She jumped up and carried on gripping the railing and taking them two at a time. She darted into a room and locked the door behind her.She went to the table, grabbed a scalpel and hid under the table shaking from fear. She looked down, saw she was holding the scalpel so tight her knuckles had turned white. All of a sudden something heavy crashed against the door repeatedly.Tanith sat there hugging her knees.Than the door broke down. She held her breath as a shadow approached.
