Chapter 3 – the wonder
As Jarvis walked along the path, he saw that the environment didn’t change but the animals did. There were: hairy spiders hanging from trees with their silky, silver webs; arctic foxes jumping through the snow and finally there was the largest variety of birds the world has ever seen, and they were all tweeting happily.
“Hello,” Jarvis called. “Is anyone there?” Nobody responded. He made his way to a glistening fountain and noticed that behind it was a field of flowers. Also, there was a thriving thicket of trees. Then he remembered, he is in a dome sectioned off with the four seasons of a year.
He had thrown into his creation something that he desperately wanted. But there was no sign of any gold. Until, out of the corner of his eye, he saw it.
Jarvis walked towards the chalice but before he could reach it, he fell. There was a trapdoor. And through that trapdoor was a slide. That was when he heard it.
Something was at the bottom of the slide. As he turned a corner, he could not just hear it, but he could see it. A giant beast with razor – sharp claws and spikes on its back. It was green all over with some accents of purple. Also, it had daggers for teeth, bulging red eyes and monstrous wings.
Jarvis noticed a stone sticking out of the side of the tunnel and travelling at around fifty miles per hour he reached out and grabbed the stone. His arm felt like it was going to fall off, but through all the pain, he climbed onto the stone and saw a passage, so terrified of the beast behind him, he sprinted as hard as he could along the path. It seemed like he was in a maze, lost and all alone.
