Chapter 4: Getting through the door
The door was gone: nothing was there. The door was gone but to the left there was a spec of blue. Charging over to the hole in-between the trees, she came to a sudden halt. There was nothing. Just an endless pit.
Grabbing a stick, Diana lobbed it down the hole to see if she could hear the stick hit the bottom but she didn’t have time where was the door?
Without thinking she grabbed a colossal leaf and started to make a make shift parachute she had done this before when she went parachuting that was the best day of her life, this not so much . Foot steps pounded behind her was she going to die? Her head flicked behind her to see were the man was but that was her biggest mistake his old, scrawny and lanky hands were reaching out to grab her. She was on her knees so she couldn’t run so she scrambled to the edge and jumped scrapping her knees on little sharp stones on the way down.
Her eyes were glued to the shape of the door, she pulled the parachute and reached out just barely grasping onto the handle pulling her self in.
Suddenly a loud scream came from the top of the cliff it was the man he was coming. Hauling at the door, it wouldn’t open it was jammed! She looked up, he was coming he was gliding down like an old lanky bird prepared for its last meal. At this point Diana was starting to give up and debating weather to jump of the cliff to get away from the man. but she didn’t give up. She drew a breath and screamed feet on the slowly crumbling wall. Finally, it swung opened but the old man was there, aggressively reaching out and eyes bulging out as if trying to escape. Dianna slipped through the door locked it shut and fell on the floor as if she had just ran a marathon or chased by a killer. The man was pounding on the door kicking it and punching it but the door wouldn’t give in. She gave a sigh of relief and smirked.
Cautiously, Diana tiptoed through the hall way and back into the main room where the book sat and the scuffed gold writing flooding out on the page. Reaching out to peel open the book, she knew what she had to do she flicked through the pages as fast as a wild fire spreading through a forest and found her page. Suddenly, a random rush of anger and confusion fleeted across her mind and she ripped the page out.
“Ahhh I see you have finished your journeys did you find what you were looking for” He said, as his brow raised and his four head wrinkled
” No.” she replied
Fascinated, glared round the room taking one more precious look of the amazing work shop even after already seeing it before it still took her breath away.
trudging , his shaking hands creaked open the door and she leaped out the hot blood still dripping from her knees.
but something was of it was dusk
“How long was I in there?” She wondered to her self
She leaped out the door.
” I will come back another day, another day” she murmured
