How to slay a Minotaur

How to slay a Minotaur

By Harry

Have you ever been asked to assist in slaying a Minotaur? If so, do you  know how rare it is to kill it? There are no free lives in this task – if you die you die. However, if you follow these clear instructions, there is a 99% chance that you will slay the Minotaur, but still there is a possibility that you will not survive, there is no life guarantee.

First, find a stable – structured ship with black and white sails, find a map to get you to Crete safely and finally hire a reliable crew. Do not forget to change the sails if you succeed.

Next, having arrived at Crete, enjoy a pleasant banquet followed by a nourishing, mouth-watering feast for energy. Seek help by talking to local bigwigs and try to make friends with them so they help you.

After that, find yourself a trustworthy companion who can provide you with a katana  ( that will help you with slaying the Minotaur ) and a magic ball of thread that will help you find your way back to the entrance of the maze.

Then, find yourself a bed as soft as a cloud so that you can sleep well for the big day tomorrow, while gathering energy. The labyrinth is a confusing maze with twists and turns and secret passages so you will need to go to sleep early, preferably 8:30pm so your brain is alert in the maze.

From that point on, when everyone is sleeping, creep quietly out of your room towards the maze entrance and enter the maze trapping the thread in the door. Creep silently through the maze making sure not to wake the mighty Minotaur.

Later on, when you find the Minotaur’s lair try to surprise it by waking it up and fighting it. The Minotaur will be shocked that you will be fighting back. Using your katana, stab the Minotaur in the leg so it falls on the ground and  stab it in the heart so it is dead. Double check it is dead by stabbing it in the head.

As you make your way back to the door, wind up the thread until you find your way back to the start of the maze. When you do, open the door so you do not wake anybody up otherwise you might get caught and go to prison.

When you sail back to your home ( Athens ), remember to change your sail to white because that means that you have succeeded in your fight and if you forget to, you may face the consequences of other family members harming themselves, in despair of you not returning.

When you arrive at Athens, celebrate your survival with a big party with all of your friends and you will be crowned king of your city with a fine ceremony.

Minotaurs are deadly creatures: half man, half bull. No human should face this fatal challenge with out fully understanding the danger ahead. If you were to succeed in this brutal fight, your reward would be stardom and fortune for the rest of your life. However, if you forget to change the sail you may face the consequences of repentant and sorrow.

Farewell – have a safe trip.
